Sounds like you're going to have a new house! Good for you!

The next stove I buy will be electric. I want a self-cleaning oven!!!

LOL...Sue, that is what Vivian has. We got it a few weeks after we moved into the house. We had a gas stove that was practically brand new (we bought it in Dec of 1994 and stored it in March of 1995), but it stayed in storage until we moved into the house. It's just sitting there. We could get an LP tank, but, I don't want one in our yard. Viv wants a new fridge (we've got two fridges already...an old 1950's model GE, and a 70's model Kenmore 21") to go with the new stove, toaster and dishwasher. She also wants a big chest freezer, though I don't know how she'll be able to get into it without getting on a chair or a stepladder...LOL ;) Those will probably come sometimes within the next few years.

I really prefer cooking on a gas stove because of how you can regulate the heat. Mine is self cleaning too.

Tater, we had an older home that had an opening for a 40 inch stove! Try finding anything other than 36" and it takes forever!!!

    Sue, how's that bronchitis?

Tony! Hope you got back to sleep!

Nick is doing geometry this week so schooling is taking longer each day. We're down to less than 80 days left in our schooling year. The push is on!

I never did get to go back to sleep, Diane. I had too much to do. Vivian is on me about "recuperating" like the doctor said, but, it's hard to do. Anyhow, doc said to do it, or he would force me to do it by putting me back in the hospital. I may try to rest tomorrow.

I need to come in here and relax for a minute. I am so tired of all the debates that happen in light hearted threads! I'm too peaceful for that nonsense. I remember my first day on the board something came up about the fighting fundamentalists forum. I read one post there and never went back!

Sorry to hear you are sick Sue! Here's a get well flower. [IMG]

chipsgirl, I post on the FFF sometimes, but very limited. I used to post there a lot, but took a long hiatus and came back here, and I've been here ever since. When I came back I only had 300+ posts, and now I'm up to over 4,000! Woah!!

I'm just not really into debates. I prefer more laid back conversation and good advice.

Are you referring to the great cat debates? I'll stick up for a cat anyday. I bet Diane will back me up too! [IMG]

Is it just me or does that cat photo I posted look like a bobble-head doll?

    Hey ya'll!

It has been a good day here! I've been shopping with my MIL and found some great bargains on the kids some clothes. Penney's and Belk were both having a great clearance sale. We had some things to take back that my MIL bought for the kids, so we turned around and respent the money. Got at least twice the amount of clothes than MIL had originally purchased. On top of that we found Precious a winter coat marked down from $160 to $29. [IMG] That is my kind of sale! Since she is just about through growing, I may not have to buy her another coat for years. We only wear them about 3 times a year.

Chips, honey, did you have to rescue that poor cat from the local dump? ;) I think Gib needs to give it a bath! [IMG]

Tonight is church and I have to be 2 places at one time! I still can't figure out how I'm going to do it. Think I'll take roll, get the teens started on listening and run to a portion of my S/S teachers meeting.

Well I really was flustered today and still managed to get all my work done! I hope I can sleep tonight. I don't like feeling upset.

It probably needs a flea dip. I'll take it to the river and dip it there, several times.

Wouldn't that be considered baptising the poor thing repeatedly?

Poor pretty kitty..I'll stick up for you and cats.
My Siamese has attitude, but potential thieves have reason to be more afraid of my cat than they would be the DOG!
she patrols the house while I sleep and so far I've been able to sleep safe and sound knowing she is in control of the situation. ;)

Yawn.... in from church! Hubby is still there. We went in separate cars because he's at a different meeting.

Well, I'm going to have to move my Sunday School class way down the hall but the room looks the same except reversed. It's still very large and bright. It doesn't open onto the playground, which is a negative, but the space is badly needed for Toddlers! I won't have any storage for my S/S craft items unless I can round up some cabinet for the back hallway. Still, I'm just so glad we're attracting so many young families. Toddlers through grade 2 will all move.

Better announce the move early and put up big posters outside the new classroom doors with the class name on them. Otherwise it'll be mass confusion that first Sunday. LOL, I used to get confused when my kids moved up a class!

I reckon it is time to kick back and rest for a while. Tomorrow is going to be another busy day. I get to take Son over to B'ham for a visit with his neurologist. We haven't seen him since Son's last migraine in November. We're going to have to have a discussion about the side effects of the increased meds Son has been on since then. We're not having any migraines but Son is not gaining weight. He is getting taller but not adding weight to go with his height. He was always skinny but now he positively boney. I had to take up pants that I had to let out for him a few months ago.

Then it will be back here for Bitsy's basketball practice. She will play her last game on Saturday. She has to miss the last two because of her surgery. I can't believe basketball is over all ready. It seems like we just started and now it is ending. Time just seems to be flying by, just when I wish it would slow down.

TV time and bed for me, I'll try to see you tomorrow.........

Good Morning Everyone! My, my, my it has turned off cold and VERY windy. Drive carefully Cyndi on your way to Birmingham.

I have Jack and Ty this morning. Jack has been sick and his mother expected him to be naughty. She said he's been very ugly for days but he's watching Dora the Explorer and playing with some cars by my feet. He'll be here for 4 more hours.

    Hi there, Folks

Looks like everyone has been busy, busy, busy.

We had a cousin make an appearance at the Super Bowl! My mother's first cousin Larry owns and was flying the WWII B 25 (the big plane in the middle) during the tribute to The Greatest Generation. They showed the planes for about 5 or 6 seconds.
Then at the end of the tribute, some modern jets flew over.
