I've got an update on my friend Deborah. (Posted in prayer requests last week.) It's not good. She went to MD Anderson in Houston Wednesday, and was already back home yesterday. They said they couldn't do anything for her.
We don't understand, but we are praying for God's will to be done. She and Eddie had been trying to have a baby for several years, after several miscarriages, Nathan was born in October 2003, then while having surgery for Chron's Disease in Dec 2003, the Dr saw something on her liver, he removed and sent it for biopsy. She's been undergoing chemo since January 2004.
Please pray for her family and friends for strength. [IMG]

Gayla, how very sad for your friend. I'll continue to pray for God's will. [IMG]

Debby, we went to a 'cabin fever' party in mid winter up north. Everyone dressed in their summer clothes and the home owners had set up wading pools in their living room, cranked up the heat and served all picnic type foods. It was really fun. They'd set up some spotlights behind fake suns and all the decorations were 'summery'.

Our temps are going to reach 60° by this weekend. Spring is not far away..... hope the mosquitoes don't show up for a while. Nick REALLY enjoys being outside without fear of swelling up.

I got a call today for someone looking for short term care for a 15 mo. old and a 3 year old but from dawn til about 10:00 a.m. The woman who would keep them in the afternoon has 2 kids with chickenpox. JUST broke out. I gave her some other names. That's 6 kids in just over a week! None fit in with my schedule or safety issues with my car size. PLUS... We're comfortable with our schedule right now. It's not interferring with our family life like it did earlier this year.

    Good morning all!

My computer got infected with a Trojan virus and flaked out on me last night. It is still not running correctly this morning. I'm using T's until he can(or I sneak and do it)set up another of his boxes that he doesn't use anymore. I'm wondering if my own will ever be the same.

Precious and I endured another trip to the doctor because of her ear. She now has swimmer's ear along with the middle ear infection she had last week. No wonder the poor kid wasn't feeling any better. We have to run and get her prescription filled, but I just had to come home and have a cup of coffee first. I only had one this morning and then we sat for 3 hours at the Doc's office waiting on him to deliver a baby! I really have to find doctors that don't deliver babies.

I hope everyone warms up today. It is yucky and rainy here but not to cold. It is supposed to get really nice by this weekend. I hope it does to T and Son can go ride thier dirtbikes.

Diane the mosquitos never left my MIL house. They live in an area without mosquito control. When we were there Wednesday evening the mosquitos were big enough to carry you off. And there were lots of them. We really, really need some cold weather around here. Doesn't look like we are going to get it though.

Thanks for the link to "This Hope". I'll go look it over later when we get back home.

Gayla, I'm keeping your friend in my prayers.

    See ya!

Feeling very tired tonight folks, so I'm heading to bed to watch TV until I fall asleep (which isn't going to take long!).

    Pleasant dreams all!

I would like to go to sleep, but have to pick up Jo Jo from a late night BBall game. Maybe the bus will drop him off at the house. Maybe not.

We don't have mosquito control in Carroll County either and since we live in Lost Lake subdivision, the mosquitoes found the lake. Ug.. Dreading summer already!

The rest of this week should be beautiful! Nick's excited that he'll be able to play outside every day. By Sunday, mid 60's!

Tomorrow is my day with little Jack which means I'll be locked in this area watching him. I had a lady call me about doing day care for the next 4 days for a 15 month old and an almost 3 year old. I decided against it. EARLY morning hours and I just didn't feel it would be safe with Jack here. He's TOO wild and will bite if he gets upset.

Boy the kids had fun today. Max and Ty had Finding Nemo going in the rec room and Morgan and Nick played two player Sims. Later they played cops and bad boys and shot each other with cap guns until their Moms came.

I'm up late, waiting for the "month-change". I order from China (for the wife's clinic) and have limits each month. They go by California time. So midnight approaches and I can spend $10k in about 15 minutes . . .

Of the wife's money. Mine? That's about what I will make as a mission pastor for the year!!

Lovely night here. 30F, light snow from last night on the ground (it all melted from sidewalk and street) to make the moonshine brighter in my window.

God bless us, everyone . .

Wow! These time zones can really get confusing. Chine uses California as their time. That means that even though it is Tuesday in China and here, it is not really Tuesday for this company since it is not Tuesday in California?

    Good morning all:

I am refreshed after having a good night's sleep! I slept eight hours!!!

It is a cold 21º here right now, heading for a high of 36º today. I haven't looked outside yet to see how much more snow we got last night.

Brent and I picked up head colds over the week-end, so we are using a lot of kleenex...

    Cruising,

Sue-with aloe vera? Your nose will thank you.

I'm traveling out of state today. It was a last minute decision, so I didn't have enough time to try to weasel my way out of it.

I don't like those Gib. They are too thick, but we DO use Puffs. I won't have a cold without Puffs. [IMG]

Good morning, all! It's a bit warmer here this morning, praise the Lord. Vivian was off yesterday, so, I wasn't on the computer. We started going through some boxes and things to start getting things back to normal, or at least as normal as they can be.

Gonna ask for a few things to be in your prayers. My mother, of course, and her health. She goes to the doctor sometime this week for tests to see if she's had a stroke or is near having one. She is taking Celebrex, and that really bothers me. She has been taking it for a while now.

My sister who was just "pre-diagnosed" with MS, just found that two of her tests came back for the aggressive form of Lupus, and one for MS. She is going for more tests in a few days. It's not really looking good, but we know God is the Great Physician!

I go tonight for blood work to see if my hemoglobin counts are continuing to improve. They are also doing another cancer screening. I've tried to keep that in the "back" of my mind and not even think about or mention it to anyone, but it is still a possibility. Vivian goes to the doc at the same time for a check on her sinus'. She's had a sinus infection for over three months now.

Still, the Lord is good! We know all things work together for His glory! [IMG]

    Gib, ol' buddy, travel safely!

Sue, hope you an Brent get to feeling better. Seems like the Devil is trying to stop Christians through physical illness.
Anyhow, have a wonderul day. [IMG]

Morning everyone! I haven't got to be on here much in a week cause I have been slammed at work. Anyhow, just wanted to say hello to everyone.

AVL, I am so sorry to hear about all the health issues in your above post. You and your family are in my prayers!

    Dr. Bob!
You drinkin' moonshine from a Mason canning jar? ;)
[IMG] Hope you got some good rest after having to stay up so late.

Sue! Sorry to hear you and Brent are sick again. I sure hope you don't get bronchitis again!

Tony! I'll pray for those needs. Very serious needs, they are. Just FYI.... my Uncle Bill went to give blood and his hemoglobin was 7. They sent him to his doctor and they did all sorts of tests. He had some teeny leaking blood vessels on his intestines. They were leaking such small amounts that he didn't notice anything other than feeling worn out. He's fine now. All other tests came back fine, once they cauterized those 'bleeders'. Praying for Vivian too. Sinus infections are horrible things. I try to never get one now instead of trying to get rid of one!

Gib, Atlanta area? Call me if you are near by.

Allie, Good morning! The guys missed you this weekend. They were picking on you after you'd signed off for the weekend. That means they love you tho. [IMG]

I've got Jack and Ty today and I had a hard time getting back up. Jack's mom brought him early, forgot my check and he hadn't been fed or had his clothes changed. I've got them eating raisin toast and Froot Loops while watching Dora the Explorer. Hope I can keep Jack calm for the next 4 hours!

    Good morning everyone!

Let's celebrate! [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] All three of my kids are at school!!!!!!

That means I get to clean house today without anyone hollaring MOOOOMMMMMM!. I'm going to get at it rather quickly because Precious may not make it all day. Her ear still hurts really bad, but I told her it wasn't going to hurt any less at home. I sent a note with her telling the teachers to let her call if she needs to and signing her out of gym. It agravates me to no end that the teachers tell the kids they can't call when they are sick or put them off, so this note didn't ask them to let her call, it told them to let her call. Folks will see the explosion across town if I find out one of her teachers didn't let her call and she was in pain.

Too bad Diane, that your kids aren't a little older or I'd tell you how to do melted crayon art. It keeps mine busy for hours. The kids need to be a mature three or four years old before they try it though. You use a warming plate to melt the crayon as you color and the kids have to be old enough to understand the meaning of the word HOT.

You could get out Jim's can of shaving cream and let them play in that for a while.(make sure they don't eat it). My kids always loved playing in shaving cream.

Tony, I'm keeping you in my prayers.

Gib, be careful traveling. Watch out for cats! ;) :D

Chips don't work too hard. We'll see you when you get finished.

Sue, you and I seem to be keeping up with each other in the sickness department. My son is still fighting the head cold he got over the weekend. We're in good shape though so long as he doesn't get a migraine because of it. I hope you and Brent get to feeling better.

    Hopefully I'll see ya'll later......

Oh we do crafts when Jack isn't here. He's too off the wall wild. Nick and Ty have gone downstairs to the rec room to play. Jack's drinking some grape juice and watching cartoons quietly.

Do you have any molds for jell-o? We melt crayons on top of the stove and make new crayons in the shape of race cars, snowmen, etc.

Have you noticed that your son gets migraines after the pest control man comes? Spraying inside the house causes severe air pollution. The chemicals used can cause all sorts of reactions.

I can't seem to wake up this morning. Any ideas to get me going?

I have a neat crayon craft idea. Take crayon shavings and place them between 2 sheets of wax paper. Take an iron and place it on the paper for a bit until the crayon wax melts. After it hardens back cut out any shape you want. You can then place a string through it and hang it up in the window. It makes a neat little suncatcher! I always liked making hearts with pink and purple crayons.

I can't wake up, either. Maybe it is the two hours total sleep, then up now and its cloudy and snow flurries. Ugh.
