I've heard of Daewoo before. I had a rental this summer for a week after my own mother plowed into my car. It was fun being in a different car for a week.
When I dropped it off I left the radio set on the Christian station. Hey. You never know!

 

Daewoo is the manufacturer of that particular model, if I'm not mistaken. They also make computer monitors...LOL Mine burned up in less than a year...so, I'd be careful about using a car from them....

 

Hello all!

I've been running around this morning and this is the first chance I've had to sit and have my second cup of coffee. Oh well, Bitsy got her glasses, the frogs got their crickets and now there is milk in the house. Not much to show for an entire mornings running around. I didn't even pay any bills while I was out.

I suppose I should go pick up the house a little and decide what is for dinner tonight. It's not what I want to do though. I really want to read one of the books I picked up on sale at Waldenbooks. Or sew Precious the pair of pants I cut out for her a couple of weeks ago. Or pretty much anything but clean house. Sad, aren't I?

Our taxes are finished! I picked them up last night. Our refund should be in next Friday(11th). It is going right back out though because we have some bills we want to pay off. Our goal this year is to have everything paid off except the house and the car payments. (and not run any more bills up)

 

Sue, truthfully, Daewoo is a good company with a quality product in the car dept. At least that has been the experience of friends who have one. Hope you enjoy your time with that car. We've got a 2003 Hyundai Sonata. We love it! Would have taken a Daewoo if we could have found one.

 

Well I've got a load in the dryer and one in the washer waiting to go in the dryer... Tonight is AWANA so that cuts into time also. Where does the time go?

Ty's napping and Nick's finished his school work. I've got 1 1/2 hours til I pick up the afterschool kids too.

 

On Wednesday's my church has a Backyard Bible Club at a local trailer park. I can't go in the winter though cause they have it at 4:30 to avoid being out in the dark. Once it warms up they will move back the time and I can go again. Until then, my Wednesday's are pretty dull. I wish we had AWANA.

 

My son is buying a 2001 Daewoo Lanos with 24k miles on it. Seems like a lovely car.

 

Diane, there is a little gremlin that steals every single extra bit of time people get! Didn't you know that?

Get this, I was talking to my sister in Augusta (the one who had the preliminary diagnosis of MS...now they say Lupus) and she told me that my mom is going to take a flight from Peoria to Augusta on Feb 15th. My sister wants to take her down to my other sisters home in Waycross, GA, because there is a man that she wants my mom to meet and maybe possibly start dating (ya, right...long distance...LOL) But, one never knows. Truly, I would like to see her get married again if it's the Lords will, but this time to guy who would treat her right. My birth father and adoptive father never did treat her well. Not that I'd like having a step-dad, but I'm grown...so, who cares!

 

Roger, they are lovely cars. We found one that we liked, but it was just out of our budget at the time. It drove like a dream and ran really well.

 

Daewoo are being rebranded as Chevrolet here in Europe. We have a 97 Suzuki Swift. Suzuki is next in line to get rebranded by Chevy in Europe. I didn't realise that Daewoo and Suzuki were GM labels.

 

Tony-which one was it, did it drive well or run well?

 

I didn't either, Roger. Good to know, though.

 

Like I asked in the other thread, Gib...do you really mean to say "PONY" when you look in the mirror in the morning??? LOL Now, get your finger out of your nose and quit looking in that mirror!
