Well it's NOT Jell-O. LOLOLOL

I stopped at the Flowers Bakery Outlet this afternoon and got a Strawberry Angel food cake. That'll help a lot! He'll put on a record or CD and chill out. He needs me to spend some time building his ego back up this weekend. [IMG]

Diane, I'll be praying for Jim. I know how hard it is to work on a commission basis. Some weeks I did excellent and others...well, the Lord had something else in mind and it made me depend on him more. Vivian's business depends on sales for commissions. I know back in '03 she made between $5,000 and $8,000 gross for the year. We still took a loss because of previous years. Last year she didn't make as much because of my being in the hospital and her not having time to make presentations.

Hope that everyone here get's back to normal soon.

We did get to the garbage to the convenience center, went and got my prescription and then went to Wal Mart. They have really torn that place apart. It took two hours to find what normally would have taken about 20 minutes to find. Then, the computers crashed leaving the cash registers unoperable. We stood in line for 25 minutes before the computers came back up, and then another 10 minutes getting checked through. We had to stop at the Dollar General to get oven cleaner, and then we came home and ate lunch, two and a half hours late. My blood sugar was crazy! Starting to feel a little bit more like myself now that I've eaten.
I'm just not sure that it's worth it to shop at WalMart any longer. The prices are going up, there is less customer service, and you have to load your own groceries. Within the year they are supposed to go to 90% self checkout.

Well, if'n I'm not on here tonight, have a great evening. [IMG]

Jim took us to a new steak place that opened about 1 mile from our house. It was good but not great but such a treat to eat out! The one mom gave me her share of my SS self employment tax. Wasn't that nice?

Nick has AWANA Game practice from 9 til noon tomorrow and Jim has 1 appointment. He HAD 2 but the one couple cancelled. I think he's worried because the company supplies only one lead a day and some of those leads are not viable. He's gone to mansions where they didn't have the $200. start up cost. I think he'll do well once he gets a base of customers who will give his name to others.

We got home to late to see all of Joan of Arcadia so I'll watch it at 11 if I'm still awake. My cold is pretty much gone but I did have an ear ache today from the congestion. I ran by the clinic when I went to pick up the kids and the nurse practicioner looked at it for free. No fluid she said! No cough, no fever, feel great other than a slightly stuffy head and the ear ache. I took some decongestant earlier so now my ear is much better. I'm really blessed in that I seldom get sick.

Here I am again. Another sleepless night. I was hoping if I just didn't go outside for a few days, this would go away. I'm not so sure now...

Papers are folded and ready for when Dale and Brent get up. Brent is having his basketball tournament this Saturday and next. I feel so bad that I won't be able to go watch him play.

Well, I am going to try to get some sleep in the chair.

    CYAL,

Gosh, Sue! I'm sorry you're feeling so bad. Is Dale any better? Don't put off getting some meds for your bronchitis! It took way too long for you to get better before AND as soon as this is over, go to the health department and get a pneumonia shot. We got one about four or five years ago. I won't need it again until I'm 60. They last approx. 10 years.

Nick has his AWANA Games practice this morning and next Sat. morning until noon. Maybe I can get the dead grass off my carpet in time for the neighborhood kids to come and deposit some more. They use our hill as a sledding hill with cardboard boxes and then run in and out all day bringing brown and yellow grass with them. It's everywhere!

Somebody forgot to turn on the heater last night, I will not mention her name, and it was 52 in here when I got up. There's nothing worse than a wife shirking her wifely duties.

The boys are going to their karate lessons this morning. It starts at 9:45 to 12:45. How much kicking can a person do? They are getting ready for some demos. It's awesome when they all perform together in their red and black pajamas.

Vivian and I finally got the dishes and some of the smaller appliances into the house from the garage today. It was good to finally have them in. The dishwashwer was humming away for an hour or so, and there are more things that need to go in, but now the whites are in the laundry. So, I guess it will be a little while before this next load goes in. She's looking for a zucchini bread recipe that we've had for years and can't seem to find it. But, she's got quite a pile of recipes to go through. I hope she'll organize them someday. Neither one of us is feeling so hot. I'm still running a fever, chills, and all the good things that come with a stomach virus or flu. Viv's just starting with most of it. Sick or not, I've got to be at church tomorrow. The pastor is out of town and one of the other preachers in the church is preaching his first sermon.

I went off with some gals from church to pick out flooring for this ole parsonage. Hasnt been updated in 30 years. They really picked it out, but I like their choices - the wood floor is called cherry, but its not a dark color. Thats for the dining room, music room, foyer, living room and hall. Then for the kitchen and front bathroom, I cant remember what its called, but it looks like ceramic tiles, but its not. So in a week or so, it'll really be chaotic around here! (Since the walls are all paneling, I am going to paint it so I dont go nuts with all the dark wook surrounding me. I painted the living room a while back and it really brightened up the place.)
After we did that, we all went to eat - there was 6 of us, and then went grocery shopping. It was fun - all of us doing our shopping together. We had a time getting all the groceries organized when we got back, but it was really fun.
DH took the girls hiking today at the national forest. They had a picnic too. He heated ravioli over a campfire, and made tea, too. They had a ball. It was a beautiful day for a picnic today.

There's alot of sickness going on around here, too. Its terible. I hope all you sicklings are starting to feel alive again.

I had the ultrasound of my thyroid last Thursday. They found three nodules - now they're going to take a biopsy to see if everything's all right!

Dan - been supporting several doctors lately!

    Good morning all:

Dan: Praying your tests will come back normal.

I slept in the bed last night. I woke up several times, but I DID get some sleep.

Folding and bagging papers now so Dale can deliver them. We got some snow last night and now it is raining.

Dan-just think, you're putting their kids thru college, making a pmt on the beamer, setting aside money for Buffy's facelift and the family vacation to the Swiss Alps.

We'll leave your well being in the hands of God and may God control the hands of the doctors.

Dan, will lift you in prayer that the nodules are just that and nothing more. My aunt Edith had a cancerous thyroid years ago. They removed it and she takes a tiny pill each day. She's never had any problem or other treatment. The doctor said it's not a type that spreads.

Sue, I'm glad you were well enough to lay down to sleep but sure pray you get much better really soon.

Nick has the sniffles but nothing more. I have some 'nose stuff' but nothing more. We both feel great. I'm taking decongestant to keep from getting my usual ear infection.

We have a VERY busy day at church. We have the group, This Hope, singing in the morning service but a full concert tonight. We're also taping the puppet show of a modern day 'Good Samaritan' this afternoon. Jim burns a CD of the voices and then the kids only have to move their hands on the actual show day.

Well I need to finish my tea and get ready for Sunday School. If we have 19 four year olds again, I may just call for an extra peace keeper!

Well, one good? thing. I haven't been able to eat more than 3-4 bites of anything a DAY since Wednesday. I hope the scales reflect this!

I've not been sick to my stomach, I just get full really quick and food doesn't sound interesting.

I was able to eat a scrambled egg and drink 1/2 of a small glass of OJ this morning. Things are looking up! PTL!

Still got a long way to go, but am getting there. Any little improvement is welcomed!

I was going to add this to my last post, but my puter froze up. This is NOT a double post... [IMG]

Dale and Brent are both feeling fine and are going to church this morning.

I am heading back to the recliner. :(

    CYA after a short nap.

Hubby offered to pick up KFC after church and Jon's coming over to visit. He works 12 hour nights so we don't get to see him as often as we'd like. I'm trying to get him to move back here for a few months while he looks for a place closer to his work. The owner rented out half the condo to a homosexual and Jon's spending very little time there now. He's very unhappy with the set up.

It's cold today! Says 52 but it's overcast with stronger winds and rain moving in. I froze in church. I wore a short sleeved sweater.
