Margo, you are on the right track! I'm glad to hear a young lady who has a good sense of God and relationships. Our daughter is learning that just now. She wants to be married someday, but is praying and waiting. I told her not to be in a hurry, and I don't believe she is.

Chips u r a riot, abt getting confused and all, u should get a cat and give it his name and give it some funny commands, not that it will listen to u, ahh just like a man!. Margot that is great being a creative writer, do u want to write novels, and if so what type?.

 

AVL, that's great. I never dated until college, and then I rushed into something . . . we knew each other like 3 weeks and then started dating exclusively. BAD IDEA.

I thank God for his protection and goodness. And for reaching down and pulling me out. I was hurt, but not hurt nearly as much as I could have been

God is so good!

 

Dr. Bob has a story about baptising a large woman. If he's around today, maybe he'll share it with our new folk. It's so funny!

I want to write books, yes. I'm into so many genres, it's a struggle to take one focus. But so far I seem to prefer fantasy/adventure for kids about age 8-12 (prob cause I have little sibs) and "the great American novel" as they say . . . something semi historical/semi romance (but not sappy) would be good.

 

LOL Dian. One of my former pastors baptised a guy who was really big--not fat, just large. Tough guy. My pastor almost went down all the way with him. It was funny.

 

Hey Margo, if you need critiquing help, I have 3 kids who would love to read your stories. They love fantasy adventure books and good ones are hard to come by!

 

menagerie, i'll keep that in mind. I don't have one ready for readers at this time, but let's stay up on it.

I'm working on one about a kid staying with his peculiar cousins who have a secret . . . and there's a lost treasure and secret tunnels involved.

 

The first man I baptized as a pastor was a rather large man, and he had back problems and so I was trying to be extra careful with him and when he went down, I slipped down with him and water went right down in my waders. One side of my body was completely soaked. And this was at the beginning of the service, and so I had to put my coat back on and go out for the remainder of the service soaked. When I got up to preach my feet and legs made a squishing sound.... It is quite the memory....

 

This afternoon my wife has a doctors appointment and we will know at that point if they are inducing labor tomorrow. Please keep this in your prayer!

It's like, for real.
Just throwing around some college lingo.
I had a roommate who who was always sayin' weird stuff I didn't understand. I started taking it down in a notebook.

 

I've definately been on the computer to long today.

I failed to turn off the TV and now everyone is dying. I'm so used to ignoring the thing that it took not one soap but two for me to realize what I was hearing. They must all be following the same story line.

I'm leaving now for the time being. Gonna straigten up the house(not gonna mop, it'll have to wait) and go get the kids. I've changed my mind about supper since I've paid the bills and brought up the checkbook. I think we'll do McD's and Taco bell instead. The kitchen will stay cleaner that way.

Where's the remote?

 

Take me with you! I'm so tired I don't think I can make any supper for myself tonight. Sigh.
