The only RULE here is NO fussin' - NO fightin' - NO feudin'! No kidding!

I will try to be here to serve you; but if not, feel free to help yourself.

First one in every morning puts the coffee and tea on, last one out at night turns the lights off...

We serve donuts, cinnamon toast (dry toast available upon request), crumpets, bagels, scones, croissants, brioche rolls, yogurt, salads, light lunches, popsicles, ice cream, homemade cookies and homemade pies, and homemade jams.

We also serve coffee (with/without caffeine), hot chocolate, hot tea, iced tea, fresh squeezed lemonade and orange juice, cappuccino, Mountain Dew, DP, DDP, Coke, Pepsi, Diet Sierra Mist, milk, milk shakes, Kool-Aid, and Carb Options.

If you don't see your drink or food of choice...just ask, we will do our best to stock it for you!

Our aim is to please...come and sit a spell, enjoy the fellowship and come back often!

As Christians, we are ALL on common ground...

Good Morning Margo. The art exhibit sounds nice. Is there a 'theme' or specific artists?

I'm having my tea and have a lot to do today, so won't be around much.

Have a great day everyone.

Well, they are student artists here at the university. I don't know much about it, but I've heard it's really nice. And I can always use some more "liberal arts education" . .. and other education.

Enjoy your tea.

Morning all:

Was up as usual at 2am, but it was after Viv called at around 4am to let me know that she was safe at work that I had to go back to bed. The barometric pressure affects my ears something fierce, and it's been jumping up and down over the last two days like a Mexican jumping bean! Too many changes too fast! Can't wait for summer when it sort of levels out.

It's cold here this morning. 28 degrees and windy. We did have some snow flurries earlier, but not many now. The sun is actually shining through the clouds.

Diane, I still haven't got my taxes finished! LOL I found more deductions last night while going through our bank statements from last year. I wondered why there weren't the deductions we thought were there. Now I know! Guess I'm going to have to start using a book keeper instead of a shoe box! LOL (JUST KIDDING! I don't use a shoebox!) ;)

Have a good day, everyone!

Howdy all. Its a beautiful morning here. The floor guys is here again bumping and banging, but its really coming along nicely.

There is a mylar balloon in our house that is freakin' me out. We got it the 1st week of December and it is still floating. It floats a little above head level and just goes thru the house as it wishes. I want to throw it away, but the girls love it. It is right here beside me (reading what I say!) It has Frosty on it.

Ok, maybe I just need to get out more.

Have a great day everybody!

Oh Tony! I know what you mean in a much less horrible way! My ears pop and then will feel like the ear drum is pulling in. This time of the year is the worst for me. I really believe I'm allergic to one or more of the four things blooming now. Every March I go koo koo with my ears!

Margo, that sounds really interesting! Safe too! You know there won't be some ugly paintings in the lot. I know you'll enjoy yourself.

Tater! Oh do I know what you mean! On one balloon, I cut a tiny slit and thought that would let the air out. Stupid thing lasted another week or so! What we finally did was untie it and press it flat to save for 'another' year. It's in Nick's baby book. Since yours has no hole, you can either get it refilled or convince the girls to put it away until next winter.

When my daughter was little, every time she got one of those balloons, when it started to droop, we'd flatten it, tape it to her wall, and draw the ribbon down into the "bunch" already there. It was like a bunch of balloons, tied with a bow at the bottom, was "floating" on her wall.

Coffee, round 2.
Heh heh.
Actually, I should eat lunch.
Oh, yeah, lunch . . .

When I was a kid I once had a whole bunch of "tired" balloons in my room. I slept over at a friend's house and while I was gone my parents' put up some visiting college kids. The one guy was like, "cool balloons!"

Jesus LOVES the Irish and for the next week or so we are ALL Irish, eh?

I'm still figuring on breakfast, but will enjoy a cuppa tea with you all.

I could use a cuppa tea myself. Think I'll set the water to boil while I'm thinkin' of it!

Who likes Earl Grey? I'm positively spazzed about how good that tea is. And I'm thrilled to have finally come to terms with the UK cuppa . .. I wasn't making it right before. Now I know why it tasted so bad. LOL

I'll take that down. Honest. I'm doing my research and experimenting.

My mom only ever drank straight, black plain ol' tea . . . I had an awfully hard time with that. My stomach didn't agree. And so then I thought all tea was bad.

But I learned.

Roger, we can't find that brand here. We've looked, but never have found it. I can drink Earl's tea, but, it's not my favorite.

Margo, I too am experimenting with tea's again. I did it years ago, and loved fresh guarana root tea and green teas (raspberry and blueberry flavored especially).

Well, Roger, I had to "micro" it. I've got to go buy some pans for boiling in. Our last pan is flaking and this time it's going to be stainless steel when we buy.

British ppl tell me fruit and flower flavored teas are for sissies. :( But I actually like some of those fruit ones myself.

I found some Lyon's Green label online, AVL. There are quite a few online stores that sell imported food and beverages.

When we read about the non-founded results or scary results of using a microwave for cooking or heating food we at the University of Baja California made an experiment.

I am Alex Torres, M.D., with access to spectrofluoroscopy, electronic microscopy and other toys that we use for testing. Such tests were made before by other people but all of these remains in the "anecdotical field".

1.- Watering some plants that were healthy (10) with previous heated water (by using a microwave) that was at room temperature... results: 2 weeks later ALL the plants were dead, or really sick, with yellow leaves.

2.- Watering another 10 plants with normal water, located at the same place than the others, just separated by a curtain and similar conditions of light. All were healthy after 2 weeks... and the last time I saw them ALL were fine, really beautiful.

3.- Caged dogs that drank only water previously microwaved for 3 weeks... after this period of time both dogs were sick, hair dropping, Food was microwaved too just to heat a little bit.

4.- 2 dogs with normal water and food not heated... both healthy

5.- 5 cats were allowed to roam freely at a very big place. Plenty of food and 2 kinds of waters: one bowl with microwaved water, other fresh water. All 5 cats drank ONLY the fresh water, not the radiated water.
