fat dogs are better. my Gramma's dog was so fat he could hardly walk, but had no trouble at all getting up on my Grammas 3-foot bed

I think I have a recipe for kitty head soup here somewhere. It's a favorite down at the kennel. :D

Or as Yogi Bear would say, "Hey BooBoo, whatta we going to do with all the kitty heads in the pick-a-nik basket?"

Good morning all:

It is cold here this morning, 23º with 25mph winds, and we are expecting rain turning to snow for the next three days! YUCK!

The flowers that are coming up are struggling to survive...

Hubby got new tires for his truck yesterday and is having a new windshield installed today. My car, hopefully, will go in for an overhaul and new tires next week.

Cruising,

Morning everyone:

Cold here this morning. 28 degrees. There were some flurries and a bit of rain overnight.

Viv and I had just gotten to sleep when out of the blue my little brother calls and says "I'm in Mt. Juliet". It was 9:45pm. Boy I could have brained him! He's the one who's in the entertainment industry. He was in Nashville all day Tuesday getting things promo materials out for the Stix concert there Tuesday. Then he had meetings all day with the marketing reps from REO Speedwagon and Journey, but decided he could make a little bit of time for his older brother! So, I'm supposed to meet him this morning just about 2 miles from where Vivian works at the Waffle House for breakfast. Please pray I can keep a good testimony. I love my brother very much, but....well, you know...it's hard to LIKE someone who is so self involved and believes the world revolves around them. We've spoken maybe four or five times since our dad died in 2000.

I've got the taxes done and ready to file, just have to find a good block of time to do it. Hopefully it will be done tonight after I get back from the doctors office.

Sue, it's supposed to rain here tonight a bit, and then tomorrow night is supposed to be rain turning to snow and ice. YUK! Glad to know that your hubby got his tires and is getting a new windshield. Will be praying things work out for your car to be done soon, too!

Gib, I loved the picture! I have a recipe for CATHEAD biscuits! LOL I hear they're better than a sausage biscuit! ;)

Have a great day, all!

T

Good luck on your 'reunion' and doctors appointment today Tony!

We usually get our vehicles fixed when we get our taxes back each year. Who can afford it any other time?!?

Hubby has been driving with a big crack across his windshield for about two months and I need one of those expensive exhaust pipes...

We use Turbo Tax online and direct deposit. We got our refund 10 days after we filed.

I think that's what I'm going to use, Sue. It sure would be nice to not pay someone $80 to file it this year. And the RAL costs are enormous. Last year combined the filing fee and RAL fees took over $165 of our refund. That's upsetting.

Thanks for the well wishes on the reunion and appointment.

Tony, it cost $39.95 for both State and Federal and it is VERY easy to use. I don't think that's bad at all.

We've used it for three years now. They also keep a copy of the previous years taxes to help you with the next years.

Sounds like a good bargain. Wasn't there a thread on there being a free use version on the IRS website?

Yes, but I am hooked on Turbo Tax. I think the free version was just for Federal, but I'm not sure.

Diane can tell you where the free version is when she comes online. I think she is the one who posted it.

For Tennesseans, that is all we have to file...there is no state income tax...at least not yet! The state congress is trying to push one through, though.

The first $86,000 of my income is expempt as a citizen residing over seas so that doesn't leave me much liability ;) .

I still have to file a 1040 and a 1055EZ by the 15th of June though.
