pre-cancers. Now i have 13 dime sized blisters
growing on my face and neck -- OUCH!

"I want to hear more about that liquid nitrogen. I have several pre-cancer spots removed every year (usually on my forehead) and YOUR bi-annual treatments sound much better than THAT!"

    Here are some boiling temperatures
    Oxygen -297ºF
    Nitrogen -320ºF
    Neon -411ºF
    Hydrogen5 -423ºF
    Helium -452ºF

Anyway, it is lots of work to get down to -400ºF.
So Liquid Nitrogen is used in this procedure.
Basically the Dr. sprays the bad pre-cancerous
spot of skin. A blister forms, The upper level of
dead skin comes off (like with other blisters).
Your body produces scar tissue. Scar tissue do not
    turn into cancer.

Much nicer than being wacked with a knife.
But the cost is probbably about the same :(

Liquid nitrogen is very inexpensive because you can
get it by just freezing some air. The Liquid Oxygen
has lots of industrial uses so the Liquid Nitrogen
can be had for the cost of the super refigeration
    it takes.

    See also the following link.
Warning! the following link has ugly pictures of
    pre-cancer:

Did you know you can make ice cream with liquid nitrogen? :D We did that at a work party a few weeks ago!

Thanks for the link, Bro. Ed.

I think mine are probably 'age spots' but the doctors make more money by calling them pre-cancerous.

Sue, glad to know Dale is back at work and money is coming in! [IMG]

Thankful, I will keep you and Ed in my prayers.

Please, pray for us at Midland. There has arisen another situation that may further split this church, or even close it. It stems from the split two weeks ago, and is very hard to deal with. I'll try and keep you informed. I had to spend all day today researching so that this situation could be properly handled. If not resolved by Saturday evening, I will be resigning my positions at the church.

Awww, I'm sorry to hear that, Tony. I know you've been doing your best to save that church, but God is in control and only He knows what's best.

    Hey everyone!

Today was my fourth day in a row to take someone to the doctor. Such fun! At least we now have a tentative diagnosis for what is causing Precious' pain. They believe that she may have thyroiditis.

http://cpmcnet.columbia.edu/dept/thyroid/thyroiditis.html (scroll down to "Painful Thyroiditis)

This is a much better diagnosis than some things they considered. It is tentative because her bloodwork is still within the normal boundries. However even that is good news because it means her thyroid is working properly in spite of the inflamation. It is amazing how well her symptoms match those listed on the link. Especially the part about this "starts out as a harmless viral illness". That is exactly how Precious' started.

My kids are hungry, so I guess I'll go fix a bite to eat.

Great pic Megan! I love your long hair!

It is thundering and lightning to beat the band here and we are in for some severe storms and heavy rain.

I am signing off for tonight.

    Pleasant dreams all!

Sorry to check in so late. I completed the dog painting and then my DIL wanted me to find a baby picture of one of my grandson's. I haven't found it yet. Most of my pictures are sorted in boxes waiting to be put in albums. They have been waiting for some time now. [IMG]

Thanks for the prayers, Bro. Tony. We will be praying for you also.

MK, Still praying that all your family will be well.

Good news that Dale is back at work.

Megan for some reason we have never been able to get the pictures on the album. It has something to do with our firewall and the settings. One day when we have a little time, we will figure it out.

Oh and we had to spend sometime securing one of our gates. Muffin is getting smarter. He doesn't want out and he doesn't want those BIG dogs coming into his yard. He told me the gate was open. The way the fence was built, the gates can only be locked from the outside and I don't want to be locked in so we have not been locking them, but we put a bar through the inside of the gate and I don't think anyone can open it now. I don't want people wandering into my yard. It was probably a kid because I found one of Muffin's toys on the outside of the fence. I hope Muffin didn't take it out there.

I hate to put up No TRESPASSING signs. It seems so unneighborly. We had to put up those signs at our old house because of the pool.

    Good morning all:

We got our storm last night and have a 60% chance of more through tomorrow night, so it doesn't look like Brent will be coming home this week end.

I'm sure he won't be disappointed because he is having a great time with Pastor Bob and the kids.

On the downside, the roof won't get fixed for another whole week and I'm tired of putting up with buckets all over the sunporch!

Noah and Seth (two more grandsons) will be spending a few hours with me today. Dad is working and Seth has an appointment with the Orthodontist in Lincoln. I usually take him.

Thankful: We didn't put a gate in our fence in front. Next Spring I want to put a trellis across the sidewalk where a gate would normally be. We don't have any fence across the back of the property either. I posted a couple of pictures on the "Projects" forum.

    Cruising,

Thank you. I would be lost without my hair ... heh heh--well, I cried the last time I had someone cut a bit off.

That's interesting ... Firewalls can be tricksy litlte things at times. I actually need to renew mine or get another one as the trail period has run out. I think I am just going to get a free one.

Sue, we have to have our backyard completely fenced so Muffin can come and go as he pleases in the backyard only. I really hate to be in the Sunroom or on the deck and have some stranger wander into the yard. I have lived in the big city too long, I guess.

Going to look at your pictures.

Good Morning, everyone. I haven't made my plans for the day yet.

I had been going every week to the beauty shop, not because I need it [IMG] but because I knew the girl needed the money. I was trying to decide how I was just going to go for perms, haircuts, and color when she left the shop and I'm not sure I want to go to her new shop. It is by the university campus and parking will be very limited. I'll go by and check it out one day and see where I would park before I make an appointment.

I think I'll do a shaggy dog painting for the groomer to display. Don't think he needs a dog that needs grooming on his wall? He may not think so.

Thankful: Dale parks in the back so it would be kind of useless to put a fence there plus we have no pets or young children to keep inside.

I try to get a perm twice a year and my hair cut four times a year. I don't always make it and sometimes end up cutting it myself. I also color it myself, but only about 4 times a year, not every six weeks like it is recommended.

With a curly perm, the gray just kind of blends right in so the coloring is not a real big thing YET...

LOL Thankful, what the groomer needs are before and after paintings!

Hey folks! The kids are back in school and will be thrilled to find that I went and bought some groceries this morning. I've got to clean my sewing space, make an appointment to meet with Precious' teachers, sew up a little pillow that is a birthday present, embroider a uniform and then do general housekeeping so I won't be around for a while.

    Ya'll have a good afternoon!

Well, the mice have returned to our house. I had been seeing signs, but they were avoiding the traps. We just saw one in the pantry. It was eating Muffin's food so I put his food in glass jars. Now I wonder what else the mouse has been eating. Time to clean the pantry!

I have rather paint or post than clean the pantry.

Thankful, my cousin had a load of mice living in her house this year ... seemed like every time she sent out an email for a while there was some new rodant story from her "house of mouse."

I remember one particular year, growing up, when it seemed like we had a lot of mice. I hardly remember anything about it, except seeing lots of different colours, and being surprised that mice came in that many colours!
