    Good morning all,

It looks like y'all are gonna get your rain! It was drizzling here yesterday, but I think we're staying dry today and in the mid 30's.

Dale has another four-day week end, so I imagine he will take the outside Christmas decorations down and put them away. I will be doing the same with the inside decorations.

    Surfing,

Remember the old rock song? "Slip, slidin' away.........." Well, that is wot it is like outdoors to-day. Icy rain in the night.

Think I would rather have snow.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Good morning all:

Vivian got to go in a bit later this morning and will be getting off early one way or another. If they send them home, she gets paid one hour vacation pay that she had left. If they stay, she's leaving at 2:15 pm.

So, we had a nice breakfast and a little bit of time to talk about what we wanted to do over the weekend. Not a whole lot planned, but do need to try and get some things done in that garage now that Mr. Garrett has finally picked up and paid for the bunk bed sets. I let him have them for $150.00 instead of the $250 I had asked for. He's a millionaire and he could have paid the whole $250, but I'm still trying to be a witness to him.

It is still a bit windy here today, and the temps will be falling again. The weather man said it would be 67 on New Years Day! So, we may have us a cookout and BBQ some ribs or have a steak.

I probably won't be on here much over the next few days, so please, ya'll have a wonderful New Years Day! [IMG]

    Good moning everyone!

Our rain totally missed us where we live and the sun stayed out all day. The rest of the state, especially south and east of us got lots of rain and t-storms. This morning it is cloudy and cool but we're not supposed to get any rain.

Guess you can tell who didn't get to sleep in this morning. :( ;) [IMG]

I think that today we'll get the inside Christmas decorations down. I saved the nice big box from Bitsy's trampoline to replace the Christmas tree box. Somehow I've never been able to fit our tree back in the box it came in. This one will more than accomodate it.

T's up, so I'll go have a cup of coffee with him. Ya'll have a nice day!

    Good morning everyone!

    No rain here.

Beautiful sunshine, but we would be glad for a cloudy, rainy day!

Well, we have another funeral to go to tomorrow, another church member. We have lost so many members this year and relatives of members.

I don't think that it is because our members are "old" because some of these people have been "young".

I'm trying to decide if I want to take down the decorations today or wait until next week.

I think I will wait until next week. I believe I will declare this a "do nothing day".

So busy here I had trouble posting.

We had freezing rain to-day and I ventured out to the village for morning coffee. I got back within ten feet of being home free when the ice took over and I had to back up, turn about and go back for another coffee and breakfast, waiting for the sander to pass by.

I finished up painting to-day and installed a shelf over the washer to hold detergents and such. Looks pretty neat if I must say so myself.

Now I have to wait for wife to get home in January for her to admire my workmanship.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    I'm all for a do nothing day...and that's exactly what I accomplished!

Had a migraine that kept trying to get bad, and did get VERY bad at first, but once it was under control (thanks for those who prayed!) it was tolerable. I just kept walking and walking and it kept it from being overwhelming, and now I'm in "lull". Never know how long it'll stay, but so far it's been an hour and a half and it's not back. YAY! I had to get milk, and bought a big fat jalapeno too since I've depleted my stash. (they help)

    Preacher, how's your rib now?
Of course she'll want to move stuff! That's how we work. [IMG] You guys build it, we make it pretty! Without us guys would be running around with splinters from unpainted wood and working in computer rooms without a rug to keep your toes warm, drinking coffee out of chipped cups, while staring at mismatched and un-color coordinated fixtures.
    THE HORROR! [IMG]

Sourdough huh? I love that stuff when it's grilled!

Anna's still using my bathroom for her "house". She now has a collection of assorted tea bags in it for when I visit, plus for unexpected visitors, she tells me. She tried to sleep in there last night but I drew the line at that, although not without giving into the sad look on her face and saying "maybe tomorrow night". She already had a little nest like bed set up in there and everything!

I'm gonna have to call the park system out here and pitch a fit. I was taking her regularly to the park right around the corner, almost walking distance, to feed the ducks. They know her and come running and they follow her in a line around the parking lot and she absolutely loves doing it.
Well, they stuck a sign up and a deposit box and now you have to pay $2 to use the park, and keep your ticket on your windshield. That's per day. I've never heard of such a thing!

All joking aside, Gina, it is sad when you have to pay to enjoy nature.

I do know how Anna enjoys the ducks. I used to have two white pinioned ducks back in the 90's. They followed me all over the park I lived in.

I would take them to the pond because there were other ducks there and I figured that they would stay. But as soon as I started to leave, they would start quacking loudly and come out of the pond following me as fast as they could.

To use the park...or to park your car? They started doing that out here at some places. That's why I'm glad we live so close to 4 public lakes. Don't pay for nuthin'...long as ya got your fishing license!! You can go & feed ducks, feed fish, go swimming, whatever. But if ya wanna fish have license.
Well think I'll get me a DP & see how BH is doing. Hang around a bit to see if anyone wanders in. Wish I had a rocker to sit in!!!!

I like to fish on weekends
But I have to change my bait
My hook keeps getting caught in trees
And twigs don't taste too great

    Speaking of SOONER

We just won our bowl game! Sooners beat the Oregon Ducks 17 to 14! It was really a strange game with strange injuries! It was exciting though!
