Morning All,

When my son was a teen, he had an aquarium and he didn't change the water until it was black. I couldn't even look at it. The fish grew and grew and grew, but I wouldn't recommend that.

It seemed when we had a beautiful aquarium, something would happen to the thermostat and the fish would either freeze or fry. Aquariums are great to look at so I go to my doctor's office and look at hers.

Have a great day.

Betty, I had prized tropical fish when I was still living at home. I took very good care of them, and so did my baby brothers, who rose early one morning and "fished" out every single one with table forks. They laid them out neatly on a plate. Here endeth the first lesson.......

They are very relaxing to watch. Some pychiatrists claim that a business man would benefit most by sitting quietly in front of a fish tank after work than downing the evil brews that many do to "relax". They claim it would greatly reduce their patient list.

Cheers,

Jim

Howdy,

The fish aquarium is a one-gallon size that came with an underwater filter, air pump and full lighted top.
Do you use any water treatment stuff?
We have well water. I bought a jug of filtered water to put in this time. The box says to get it set up, run the pump for 24 hours, then get the fishies. We're going to try that . . also feed less. And NO nacho chips!

The smaller the tank, the more often you need to change the water.

I have a 10 gallon and a 30 gallon aquarium in my living room.

The only thing I put in the water is "Clear Water" by 'Jungle', once a month. It removes odors and cloudiness.

And "Start Right", by the same company, when I change the water (it's a stabalizer). That way I don't have to wait 24 hours before I put the fish back in the tank.

Well, I bought my new stove and I love it - even though I haven't cooked on it yet. It is electric, self cleaning oven, and has a ceramic top. It looks like a midget (30 inches) compared to the 36 inch I was used to. Now I have to figure out what to do with the six inches left over! Surely, I could use it to store cookie sheets or something...

Off to cook supper,

Congratulations, Sue, on your new stove! My ice maker went out, and now my fridge is making grumbling sounds. I'm praying it goes out, because I want a new one with water and ice in the door. :D

Nite, all!

Hello Gang!
Sue...glad ya like your stove.aaaaaaaaai remember growing up when I would go visit my Uncle Oscar & Aunt Blanche. She had a wood cook stove that she continued to use even after I & their 9 children were grown & out on their own. Her sons finally convinced her to let them get her an electric range, but till this day they still have the wood stove in the kitchen too!!
I bought Agee a new stove 2 years ago that she just loves to cook on (which suits me just fine). It had two eyes on one side & a grill on the other, plus I picked up an old cast iron grill plate which will fit right over the other two for different ocassions! She also loves cast iron cookware.
I'll be letting BH out, she's really been back on good behaviour since I've spent "makeup" time with her the past two evenings. Cept she still don't like Agee messin' around her cage. Just can't figure out what's up with that. If I take her out & put her in Agee's lap she's just as lovin' as ever though. Mabey she's laid claim on me & lettin' my wife know it!!!
Gwen...mabey I shouldn't say this but me & my wife are pretty handy at fixin' all kinds of appliances! Just a thought!

We have the kind you talk about wanting & she had to fix the icemaker in it today.

Well, preacher, the grass is always greener...

I got tired of thawing out my ice maker with my hair dryer. It finally went out. Until the whole fridge goes, I'll just keep filling up the ice trays.

Now, I would like a fridge like that if it gave out fruit juice instead of water!

Good morning all,

It is supposed to be 45º here today and all next week! I'm wondering if winter is over (I hope, I hope, I hope)...

I'm fixing bacon, eggs, and biscuits for breakfast. I just gotta try out that new oven! :D

I will leave some

Cold you say! This morning at 5:AM it was -16c; the coldest morning here yet, and we are expecting snow this evening.

I am heading out to the village coffee bar for morning gossip and coffee.

Good morning everyone!

Basketball starts this morning. We have games at 10 and 11 in two different places! I'm taking the early one and T will take the late one. I've discovered that we only have this kind of conflict about 3 times, so things won't be quite as bad as I first thought.

As for the weather, well I hate that ya'll don't all live in Bamy where it will be a breezy 50 degrees today and a balmy mid-sixties tomorrow. Winter was yesterday and now it is over at least for the next week or so. I love living here!

Sue, I know you are enjoying that new stove!

The rest of you stay warm or come visit!

Good morning All!

My computer tells me it's 22 degrees F outside - my wife would probably tell you that it's almost that cold inside. I set the therostat at 64 during the day and 59 at night.

Since I last talked to you all - I've gotten DSL - which makes my surfing and posting much faster.

I still am in the "field" at my secular job - but I suspect they'll catch me soon - and make me relocate to the Regional Office. The "RO" is five miles from home - the Field Office is 44 miles from home. Yet I accomplish much more in the field office than I will in the "RO".

Soon I'll have to take at least a four week vacation. If I don't use my time - I'll lose it - and I wouldn't want to do that.

Hey Dan, it's good to hear from you. Now that you have DSL, you can double post twice as fast.

Hope all is well with you and your family.

Good afternoon everyone. I didn't realize that I had not even checked in to the BB today.

We had a long list of things to do on Ed's only day off.
laugh.gif

I got the purse or bag that I wanted. It is AmericaBag that is a shoulder bag. and then a tiny one fits in side so that I can carry it for the small stuff. Now if I could just find some money to go in it.

Then on to Target and bought a new suitcase. It seems that we provide suitcases to all the grandchildren because they never seem to return them after they are borrowed. Somehow they find a different home.

Then home again to take down the Christmas decorations. It is a lovely day here. 72 degrees with a gentle breeze, but the fire danger will increase if the winds increase. We may get rain in about a week and a half. We keep praying!

We are taking a break, but I have to work on music for tomorrow and then we will have afternoon company between Church services.

Dan, good to see you again.

SUE, I WANT A STOVE JUST LIKE SUE'S NEW STORE

Ed says that I will have to cook more to justify buying a new stove, but I'm going to tell him that we would save money because my stove is gas and the gas prices have done up, up, up.

Seriously, Sue, congratulations on the new stove.
That is great!

I'm going to see if I can fill all the little pockets and compartments in my new bag with stuff.

See you later.

Betty
