Ooooooh, ah, oooooooh.........
We're back and I'm half dead. We made it back with all the kids, though, and they had enough energy to play on the playground for the 30 minutes before school let out.
Just let me tell you, I'm glad it's over. I knew it was going to be a bad day when I get nearly to school and realize I've forgotten the fresh tape for the camcorder. That's okay as Walmart is right down the street and I still have 30 minutes before the busses leave. Get that fixed and get back to school and find something is wrong with the camcorder. It won't take the tape (yes, I bought the right kind) and it keeps shutting down. Well parents don't ride the bus so since I was driving I left and ran back to the house and got my camcorder(PTL, it was actually charged) and headed out.
Course the busses had left before me so I was, well, umm, pushing the speed limit trying to catch up. Caught up with them just before you enter B'ham and my low tire pressure warning light comes on. Last time that happened the tire was flat within two minutes. Found a station, pulled over and couldn't figure which tire was low. They were all low. A nice fellow that works with a utility company there checked them, added air and one tire was lower than the others, so that must have been the one.
Finally get to where we were going
(McWane Center) and have a great time until the IMAX theatre. Made me sick and gave me a headache that I'm still suffering from. Made 3 of the 4 kids I was with sick too. (the fourth was busy taking care of her fella who doesn't like IMAXs and wasn't paying attention) I thought I was going to die before I got out of there. And it wasn't even one that was all that exciting. You expect to get sick from racing cars or soaring airplanes. You don't expect to get sick from lions and elephants.
It was a good thing I took Chris' medicine with us. They wouldn't have made it back on the bus without it. He had big dark circles under his eyes when we got back to the school. Solid ground helped a lot though and he's out playing, hopefully no worse for the wear.
I'm going to drink about a gallon of coffee and try to recover.
Preacher, so long as no one ran the rocking chair over BH's tail, we won't worry. Course we would like a picture of a squirrel taking a bath.
