    Good morning all,

It is 36º right now, cloudy and windy, with a high of only 42º expected today and tomorrow.

Ron: If you want to hear Dr. B.'s lecture on the evils of soda pop, please ask him to PM it to you - we've all heard it. [IMG]

And you DON'T want to know how he uses coffee! [IMG]

Well, we have decided that we want the china hutch where the picture shelves are and vice versa, so Brent and I are going to have some heavy moving today.

I made the picture and knick knack shelves, years ago, with painted lumber (black) and painted concrete blocks (maroon).

That means that we have to remove everything from the shelves and move 5-7x12 pieces of lumber and 12 concrete blocks, as well as removing the dishes from the hutch and moving it. Then I get to put everything back together. It's gonna be another 'tired' day...

That means more dusting and I still need to do the windows in there. [IMG]

    HAGD!

Using Coffee...my little wife uses coffee grounds, & egg shells on her plants, as a sorta mulch/fertilizer. It's done wonders on some! She just bought 4 packs of seed yesterday to put out in a couple of flower boxes we've gotten from different places. Guess I'll be buying potting soil today, the soil here in the yard is only a few inches deep, then you hit clay. Made it real fun diggin' a hole to set the post for the mailbox!!
Looks like I'm off the rest of the week, or longer, so she'll proably have me outside today doing spring cleaning, on my junk piles!! Supposed to be about 75 here today. Gotta bunch of cans to crush too, sometimes these BIG feet come in handy!
Her hip is hurting today, proably from where she was moving stuff in the yard yesterday. It seems to flare up every 3-4 months, then she'll be fine, well better...my wife is always FINE!!

Here ya go, Ron. Ummmm. You do take cream don't you?

This has been a VERY busy day and I forgot I had a dental appointment at 1:00 until 12:45! Just made it in by the skin of my teeth (pun intended).

I'm sure glad I baked dessert and mixed together my casserole this morning or we would be having supper REAL late.

We DID manage to finish the family room. [IMG]

We are going to eat supper now and then watch Don Knotts in "The Shakiest Gun in the West". I will try to stop by before bedtime.

    great coffee.

Too windy for me to go out for doughnuts today, so I am leaving a big casserole dish filled with homemade fudge. remember to wash hands before reaching into dish, and after eating chocolate. preacher gets upset at having to comb the matts out of BH's hair from the chocolate handprints on the doorknobs and furniture.

Ugg! Someone tell me if I'm still alive. What a day!

Second field trip to the McWane Center, this time with 3 buses full of TEENAGERS! Ackkkk!

Left the field trip just in time to cross town(B'ham mind you) and go to a doctor's appointment with the pediactric neurologist with Cassie(she has migraines). Even though I didn't find out about this appointment until yesterday, it was a blessing. We thought she wouldn't get to see him until June. This appointment was a cancelation.

Then the bookstore, then home, then to deliver some sewing and we still haven't had supper.

Oh well, at least I've gotten to sit down for a moment!

    Evening folks,

I need to call Brent's doctor tomorrow and get him a prescription. He has Asthma and the first year we had him, he was on Singulair every night. He has been off of that for over a year and just uses his 'puffer' occasionally.

His asthma is exercise induced rather than an allergic reaction but he has been using his 'puffer' a lot the last few days. Of course, we've been moving furniture too...

Anyway, I think I'll put him back on the Singulair for a bit and see if that helps. After all, summer is coming and he will be more active than he is now.

Supper was good and everyone is in bed but me. Guess where I'm heading too?

    Pleasant Dreams All!

    P.S.
I had enough "Nothing Cake" left to bring ½ of it to the CH. Eat and enjoy, it tastes very rich, but the cake AND topping are both made with Splenda so it's all right. ;)

We have had terrible fires in Oklahoma the last few days. Yesterday, we had record temp with high winds.

Today, as I was painting I looked out the sunroom window and saw heavy smoke. It was in the distance, but I couldn't tell how far. I called 911 and they were not aware of any fires in the area. I watched and couldn't tell that the fire was moving so it was either coming toward us or going away from us. Finally, the TV gave a location and it was on the other side of a river from us, but there's not much water in that river.

This fire threatened homes, but didn't destroy any, but yesterday's fires burned homes, churches, a small town and injured firemen.

We had a trace of rain today. Maybe a little more tomorrow. Actually, we had not heard rain in so long that we didn't recognize the sound.

    Morning all:

I just went to bed around 10 pm, but had to get up. I can barely breath and have been sneezing off and on since midnight. I figured I'd better get up before I woke Vivian up. She came home at 9:30 am yesterday. It's been really slow and there just never seems to be enough work. But, when she got home she got her tomato plants started and is going to try and get the other garden items ready today. If it keeps up like it is right now, we'll be able to plant in about three or four weeks.

Thankful, we're praying for ya'll out there.

If I'm not on later today, I will be at the doctors office trying to get some antibiotics and the refills on meds that I have to have.

Ya'll have a great day! [IMG]

    Good morning all,

Betty, I saw the fires on TV and was praying for the safety of folks lives and homes.

Tony, Brent is going back on Singulair today.

I have enough left overs for supper tonight, so I think we're gonnna watch movies today. We're all sore and stiff from moving furniture around the last three days.

Time for breakfast and school first though...

Thankful, I'm glad that fire wasn't any closer. How scarey!

    Good morning everyone!

Today will be filled with a doctor visit(got to get Chris a shot to try to get rid of this migraine) and our RIF distribution. Any time I have left will be spent cleaning up this house! I've decided that something exploded. It's the only explanation for the condition of this house.

I'm a little concerned this morning about my parents. They were supposed to have gotten back yesterday from their Florida trip, but are still not home this morning(of if they are they aren't awake and answering the phone). I know they were having trouble with their van overheating so that is probably the explanation. Still, it's worrysome because I think they would have called if they had gotten stopped on the road.

Always something happening at the menagerie!

    See ya when I can!

Hi Bob and welcome to the CH! [IMG]

I hope you become a regular and join in the chit-chat. This is where we rest in-between posting in the debate forums. ;)

All the food and drinks are free - just serve yourself. They are 'virtually' calorie-free.

School is about done for today, then lunch, and, since supper is already prepared, we are going to watch some Don Knott's DVD's the rest of the day.

I, of course while watching the movies, will be crocheting the baby afghan for my first greatgrandson who should be arriving in about 10 days!!! Can you tell I'm excited?!?

    TTFN!

Greatgrandson! Awesome. Congradulations. My first granddaughter just turned one this last January. Since no one was around my first few minutes I helped myself to the donuts.

This looks like a pretty fun web site. I look forward to getting to know everyone.

I'm leaving in a few minutes - Greek exam to study for. I'll talk to ya'll by and by.

What Sue meant to say is that all the new folk have to bring the donuts until they have over 100 posts. [IMG] :D
