Glorious sunny day here and warming up each day. We still have frost in the morning but reaches 18c or 19c by noon. It is refreshing to see the buds breaking out on the trees and wild flowers spreading in the woods. The trilliums have broken surface with their broad leaves and anyday the lovely flower will show its face.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Good morning all,

We will have sunshine off and on today with thunderstorms, wind, large hail and rain. Tomorrow it's going to be 77º with bright sunshine, so that is the day we will do our errands.

Gayla and preach: Sounds like you both had good 'special' services yesterday.

Tony: I don't know how Viv works all those extra hours. It would wear me out!

Jim: The various flowers I have in the yard are budded out and some are blooming, but it's either been cold or rainy so I haven't been able to get out there and tend to them OR enjoy them!

    Well, housework awaits...

Jim, we have wild trillums all over our back yard. They are so beautiful! We call them "toadshade." I was so dissappointed to see that the bunnies ate all but one bud on my peonies. So I only have one flower on each plant. I feel like Mr. McGregor. lol

    Off to do the housework!

    HAGD, all.

Better a cute little bunny than a rat, I always say!

Actually, that's the first time I ever said it.

It's been quite a day! I'd love to be sleeping, but I have a paper to write. I had a while to talk to my one writing instructor and that was decent. I'd made the decision to go with straight essay/memoir directed toward the Christian audience but digestable for non-believers too. (it's creative writing, we do what we want) He's already seen that I can do all genres and styles, so it's not a problem for me to take one specific focus like this. It's a class I really enjoy! The guy told me I had an attitude. Can you believe that? [IMG]

It's beautiful outside. It's been about 65 degrees and I'm just LOVING it!

I do have a lot of housework to catch up on. And homework. I don't feel so overwhelmed though. I got back my mid-term in psychology and got a B. I was disappointed, not used to not being the best in the class, but I'd not known we were allowed a page of notes, so I didn't have any. That's my excuse, I'm going with it. [IMG] (them youngsters and their good hearing, why I otter smack 'em!)

OH! I have these ADORABLE little flowers I planted that are full of little blooms, and I don't know what they are! I want to get more and fill up the side wall with them, but I'll have to figure them out. They only had a few little blossoms on withery looking stems when I got them, but now they're loaded with tiny little bell shaped ones of different colors on each plant. VERY nice!

I've gotta go check the oven, dinner is in there!

    Howdy!

I had the PET Scan Friday. Last time, when wasn't good news, I got a call on Monday morning. I did not get a phone call today so I'm taking that as good news. What do y'all think?
I will see the Oncologist on Thurs or Friday. (I don't remember right now which it is  .)

    Morning all:

Gayla, I would take it as good news. I'm still praying for you. [IMG]

Sue, Vivian works a lot of hours. She was supposed to get off last night at 3:30 pm, and she was there til nearly 4pm. I wasn't happy, but what can I say? I have no control over the situation. She's looking for another job in the company at another location closer to home. They have a small plant that is 25 miles closer to home, and she wants to get a job there. The hours would be from 6 am until 2:30 pm. It would be a lot less stressful on her, and it would make me worry less about these crazy Tennessee drivers smashing into her on the highway!

It's really cloudy here, and we have a 40% chance of rain. Don't know if we'll get any, though. I have to go to Nashville tonight to the ear specialist. Despite recent developments over the past few weeks, I'm hoping things turn out OK.

Ya'll have a great day, and be good, be kind, be careful.

    Bro. T

    Good morning all,

I don't have time to chat right now. I have a doctor's appointment early this morning and I'm heading for the shower.

After that, Brent and I are going out to breakfast to celebrate another year of school, passing with a 97.5% for the year.

I will check in when I get back home.

    HAGD!

    Morning Everyone!

Didn't get a chance to check in yesterday. Took my MIL to B'ham for another eye check. She was very happy with her news that her eyes were holding steady. She has macular degeneration and had lost most of the sight in one eye. They have a new treatment that they used for her and it improved her vision and so far it's staying the same.

Today is back to B'ham. Cass and Chris have an appointment with the pedi neurologist. It was supposed to just be Cass but Chris has done so badly the last couple of months that I had to add him to the appointment (pc doc's request). Cass should have a good visit but I don't know about Chris. He has a migraine that we get rid of for a few days and then back it comes. He's probably in for a medication change, again.

Meter reader has my dogs all stirred up. The mutt's barking has the huskies stirred up so their howling. Don't you think my neighbors appreciate me? :D

    See ya'll!

Hey guys! I've missed everyone! I hope you are all ok -- enjoying spring!

Finished up my first class at ECU and I still only have one grade :D -- I am patient, I am patient, I am patient . . .

    My final project

We leave for our annual coastal trip with the 8th graders in the morning -- 5 a.m.

mmmmm OH, I've been working on changing the school website. I'd hoped to get all the pages changed over before I left tomorrow, but that won't happen now. It's nearly done though.

Oh goodness, I have tonight to catch up on a project and that's it.

However, it's the last major thing for a couple weeks. :D :D :D That makes me :D [IMG]

It was a pretty cool day. Nothing happened. I saved $75 at the store between sales and coupons, so that was really nice. It meant not following a plan and just going with what was on sale, but sometimes that saves more. Not usually, but this time it was all good.

I'd love to say that something more exciting happened. It didn't. Now that I think about it, that's really weird!

** I have something to Celebrate!!**

I bought a new pair of jeans today. Now before everybody starts wondering if I've gone off my medication I'd better explain.

The last time I bought jeans, 2 and a half years ago, I was a 52" waist. Today I bought a pair of jeans and I'm now a 42" waist.

May not sound like much - but I'm sure happy about it!

Now I'm going to celebrate with a Diet Ginger Ale.

    All the very best, Gayla.

Friend of God, to reach a goal is admirable, whatever that goal may be. Keep your chin up, and keep striving toward the mark.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Hey Everyone!

Been a good day but busy!!!!

Gayla, I've done stuff like that more times than I care to remember. I finally had to start writing down everything in a pocket calendar. If it's not in there, it's now going to be remembered!

FoG! Congrats! You have reason to be excited.

It's been such a day, I'm heading to bed with my remote control. I'll probably be asleep before I find anything to watch!

    Evening all,

I just realized I hadn't checked in here today!

Gayla: Sorry you have to wait so long for another appointment. We get charged for missing one and if we miss two, they make us find another doctor!

FOG: That is great! I sure wish I was that far along in my 'new' eating habits. Keep up the good work! [IMG]

Cindi: Your day sounds normal for you. [IMG]

    Jim: [IMG]

It's been a busy but very productive day. Brent and I turned up some ground and planted a whole BUNCH of wild flowers and then we put a small wire fence around the plot. I don't know if it will keep the rabbits out, but I'm hoping so.

Then I spring-cleaned my bedroom. I got a spindle headboard for my bed (from FreeCycle). It's no great shakes, but it will keep my pillows from falling off. I have everything done in there but ironing the curtains and rehanging them. I will do that tomorrow.

In between spring cleaning and planting wild flowers, I did the laundry (no small feat) and fixed a large supper. Oh, did I forget to mention that I wiped down everything in the kitchen and drove to ACE hardware to buy a 12 inch drill bit so I can start getting rid of my stumps tomorrow?

I just got out of the shower and I'm tired. I can't imagine why! Anyway, I'm going to bed.

    Pleasant dreams all!

    Rainy day here.

Lots of people, including me, seem to be having trouble posting. It either says web page unavailable or posts 3 or 4 times.

We have had something like 6-8 inches of rain in the last week.
A really good thing because we have had a major drought with lots of wildfires.
It is windy enough with all this rain that big limbs keep blowing down, in spite of my having had tree-trimmers here recently.
I have quite a pile for our son to haul off.

    Sue,
Since you like Dr.Pepper, have you tried the diet berries and cream yet?

Karen, I think maybe that's why not many people have been posting. It takes me several minutes to get a post to go thru. It's kinda frustrating.

Glad you're getting some rain. It's raining here, too. Just a quick thundershower, tho. We are in a minor drought--about 3 to 4 inches behind for the year.

    See ya'll later.
