MK!! Nothing like putting the fun back in dysfunction. We used to tell our brood that we got up an hour before they did so we could plan their day full of misery.

They've turned out okay as far as we can tell. None of them stutter even though we tickled their feet. They made faces at each other and their faces didn't stay that way. They should all be dead by now if that "eatin' a peck of dirt before you die" story has any merit.

Padre: I used to tell mine that I was tired all the time because I stayed up all night thinking of ways to make their lives miserable...

Sue, not to Illinois...I guess I have two homes, but this time it is in Augusta, GA. That's where most of my family lives now, and most of Viv's too. We don't know when we'll be making a trip to Illinois. For us it's a 9 hour drive, and for me, it's a killer. So is the drive to Augusta. But, we will definitely let you know when we're coming to Illinois. [IMG]

    Awwww! Okie dokie.

I know about the driving. The drive to WI and back is ony 600+ miles, but with me driving up there one day and back the next, it takes me several days to recoup!

    Well sigh! It's not faiiiiiir!!!!!!

    Jenna has mono!!!!!!!

I knew it was to good to hope that all three wouldn't come down with it!

The good news is that she isn't nearly as bad off as the other two. She is actually enjoying sitting up in bed playing games on the laptop! Doc said she can go back to school when she feels like it! I hope that happens soon!!!! Just kidding! She's already talking about maybe tomorrow.

MK, sorry about Jenna! My son had it when he was 9, and the doc wouldn't let him go back to school for 9 weeks!!

Did you all hear about Scarlett's parents? They were in a car accident. She posted in the Prayer Requests forum. Check it out, and please pray for them. [IMG]

    Morning all:

Wow, it's strange to wake up to temps that are in the low 60's and headed towards the 50's again! It's sort of misty raining here right now. Vivian woke up with stomach problems, but went to work anyway. To tell you the truth, she was running a fever last evening and had chills. This morning she was just "blah". She said if she gets to feeling bad, she'll come home.

There are storms moving our way. We need the rain, but we don't need the storms.

Well, I hope ya'll have a great day. I may be in and out today...don't know yet.

Be good, Be kind, Be careful.

    Good morning all,

Tony, it's even stranger to wake up to 36º!!! The high today will be 59º. At least the wind has died down and it should be sunny today.

Brent is getting close to finishing this year's school work. He will probably be done next week. We don't have school in the summer, but we always have a 'project'.

Last year it was learning to type on a keyboard without looking at the keyboard. This year it will be learning to speak Spanish. He only works an hour or so in the morning on these projects.

He already has two lawns lined up, to mow this summer, on a weekly basis. He would like to get three more so he has one per each week-day.

    Time for coffee,

    Morning all:

Wow, hasn't this place been hopping of late? :(

Well, it's 47 here and it feels like 40. I thought winter had long gone. Just last week we were in the 90's. Today's high is supposed to be in the lower 70's. It's foggy out there right now.

It's been another night of little sleep. A lot on my mind and heart these days. Guess God lets us all go through those times, though, and it's usually for our betterment and growth.

Sue, I'll be praying that Brent gets his quota of lawns. I used to do that when I was younger, and made quite a bit of money.

MK, praying for you. Sounds like you've got your hands full.

Gods blessings on all of you today, and remember:

Be good, be kind, be careful.

    Good morning all,

Tony: It looks like the CGCH is turning into a private club with only two active members! I was hoping we could reach #100 before it outlived it's usefulness. :(

It is 39º this morning! I had set some of my house plants outside and had to bring them in two days ago. I don't like it to be below 50º at night when they are outside (which it has been for a couple of weeks until a few nights ago).

It's supposed to be 70º here too, but the sun is trying to come out. I believe we have more rain on the way over the week-end.

Brent is doing final tests today and tomorrow on everything but Math. He will finish up his Math on Monday or Tuesday and his final book report probably won't be done until later next week. He picked a thick book on Joshua...

    Time for coffee,

Oh, I think we'll reach # 100. I think some people eventually end up taking a break, but come back. Around spring and summer people's lives change a lot, and they have this and that to do. Just hang in there. [IMG]

This is true. I, myself, usually only check in twice a day when the weather is nice outside, and sometimes just in the morning.

It's amazing that sometimes we actually let 'real life' take us away from our time on the BB. [IMG]

It's staying warm down here. 70 right now heading for 82. A little bit windy, and rained a little yesterday.

Daddy and Wesley are doing their Math lesson . . .

I will have a PET Scan tomorrow, to make sure everything's OK . . .

    Good Morning Everyone!

Sue, I think everyone is just going through a busy time right now. I know I have tons of stuff to do right now. Matter of fact I have to get off this computer and get out into the yard! It's a hayfield out there and our house sticks out like a sore thumb, cause all the neighbors mowed their grass last weekend. [IMG]

Oh well, Can't do more than I can do! Chris is better this morning thanks to a couple of shots yesterday. Jenna is better but still home cause half what she eats comes back up. That is not supposed to be a part of mono! She's cheerful though and is occupying herself which means I should really get off this computer and get out in that yard!

    See ya!

Good Morning! Or noon for most everyone...

I've been giggling all morning because Helen is gone and is going to be rather suprised when she comes back. See, one of the mini horses, Pappa, was a nice little brown horse when she left. WAS. I don't know what we did to him, but he's a little white horse now. I thought it was just the back end of him turning white, but as I brushed him today and all the brown was coming off, and I stood back and looked from a few feet, that's a WHITE HORSE now! ROFL! [IMG] He started with a little white, but every week got whiter. And there's still a week left. She did seem to want all the animals kept alive, but she NEVER mentioned she wanted them the same color. Maybe she'll have to add that to the list next time she leaves. "Keep animals from turning different colors".

Ok, I really should get in the shower. I'm grossing myself out. EW (and I took a shower less than two hours ago, how sad is that?)

You guys and gals have a great morning. [IMG] [IMG]

MK: Glad the kiddos are feeling better.

Gayla: Let us know about the PET scan.

Hi there. Preacher and BH miss you guys, and nothing is wrong with him and his wife. Well, nothing's wrong with his wife, or BH, but can't say as I don't feel a little funny saying there ain't nothing wrong with Preacher. HA!

Anyhow, they just disconnected the internet for a while, they'll get it back sometime. So he hasn't read emails, but if he gets down to the library he will.

In the meantime, there better not be ANYONE here that says they miss Preacher without saying they miss BH! Got it? [IMG]

Ok, now for the fun event o' the day. I had to chase a two foot snake across a few yards.

Ok, it doesn't sound that funny, but you have to take into account that I first almost chopped off its head, a few of us thought it might be poisonous, phone calls were make, the internet was utilized, at one point there was a full grown adult standing on a bench hugging a 10 year old and screaming, and there I am with a horse poo shovel trying to get the snake to go in the right direction, while my oldest daughter is taking pictures of it and the youngest, who I'm calling "the smart one", stood there highly amused at it all! And that I chased it across the neighbors yard too, as the screaming person on the bench wanted it REALLY gone. LOLOL
