I wouldn't take part in the debate. Bit if it came to a vote I'd vote in favor of changing to the use of a decent red.

The difference between first century grape juice and grape juice today, today's grape juice is pasteurized, first century grape juice fermented.

Since communion symbolizes the Jesus body, given for us, and his blood shed for remission of our sins, I am not offended by the use of a variety of elements to symbolize communion.

When I went on a week long canoe trip in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in Northeast Minnesota, our group of Christians celebrated communion using orange kool-aid and pieces of granola. In such a serene and pristine environment, surrounded by nature, I cherish that time of communion with God and my Christian brothers and sisters.

A pastor friend of mine who was a missionary in the South Pacific used pinapple juice for communion -
as there was no grape juice available.
