Ok, have asked around for you

have you tried Lexington Theological in Lexington KY?

the have black faculty

also another friend suggested Simmons?

Just trying to help you out man

best wishes

I did look at LTS!!! They looked great but they only offer a 30% scholarship and at $480 per hour that would take me down to only being able to take 12 hours per year. I really liked their 2 and 4 week-long classes but to have to take 81 classes plus a 50-60 page MDiv capstone (after writing a dissertation) I was hesitant. I have a zoom meeting with them on Saturday but I'm not expecting them to be added to my list.

Simmons does not offer graduate-level work unless there is another one outside of KY.

Thank you for your help, I truly appreciate it, any advice helps even if it doesn't fit what I am looking for!

Is BSK a 90 hr program?

if so do it. Just hold your nose I guess?

you are 1/3 of the way done there if it’s 90!

No, they are a 75-hour program so I would only have to take 45 hours there. I think that is where I am leaning towards especially since Squire mentioned that Crozer may have some questionable things in their past.

Hi,

I want to go back to school for an MDiv. I have looked at schools now for almost a year, and after about 200 edits, changes, school additions, school subtractions, calls, emails, mapping out every class I would want to take at each school, and pouring over their websites, I have come down to these 3. Maybe y'all could help me out with your interpretation of their reputation, quality, etc.

Baptist Seminary of Kentucky
Colgate Rochester Crozer
Bethany

I know the last isn't baptist, but if you have any opinions on it one way or the other, I would still be interested in hearing it.

Thanks for any help you can offer me in my discernment process.

The Best school is with your Bible, some good commentaries, like the older ones, good Hebrew and Greek text books, and above all, God the Holy Spirit to lead you into His Truth!

Bible schools can mess with your head!

It depends on your objective. If you want a higher degree, there are plenty of diploma mills on the Net. I debated a guy with a TH.D from one of them. But if you want to learn, order one of the textbooks they use for the course you are most interested in and check it out. I did this long ago and ended up saving money, putting in a library, and going it alone.
