Sorry, don't have the source and I'm probably not getting the quote exactly right, but:

"The press took Trump literally, but not seriously; his supporters took him seriously, but not literally."

I thought that was some good insight.

Here is what happened with Trump's win...............

The American people were tired of the last eight years of divisiveness and "fundamentally changing" of America. The far left make a practice of living in denial and only keeping those around them that agree with them. The left tried to win no matter what they had to do and it failed. Game over, Trump Wins!

I was telling my wife that I believed Trump won because he was not a politician. America is tired of politicians making the governance of our nation a game. About that time a journalist on TV was interviewing a man from PA. They asked him "why Trump?". His answer....because he's not a politician.

Years ago Tom Morello (I wouldn't advocate his music, nor his political positions) commented that we effectively have one political party. It's the same machine divided and compromising over how to govern and our choice but illusion. Now, perhaps, we have a choice (although I'm sure not the choice Morello envisioned).

It was a vote against political corruption, it was a vote against political correctness, it was a vote against political entitlement, it was a vote against the MSM.

I'm sure this one election won't reform all of those things, but her true downfall was Obamacare from what they are telling me - premiums went through the roof and voters were mailed the notices on November 1. That was what they think did her in.

CNN commentator Van Jones said it was a "WHITE-LASH"

He said that his Muslim friends are afraid they will be imprisoned.

They are afraid of sending their daughters to school
White-lash? Does Van Jones realize that Hillary is ALSO a caucazoid?

The race card is truly the sign that someone has lost an argument.

A well thought out response.
