The atonement and the sacrifice can't be separated. In the OT for example Moses is making an atonement for the sins of the people of Israel only, not the unbelieving nations of the world. The atonement is only for the people of God, so then also the sacrifice.
For example, the sheep. All the sheep ever mentioned are of God and Christ, not the devil or the world.
Unbelievers are not of the sheep. His, My, The sheep are all of one.

    John 10:4
And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.

    John 10:11
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.

    John 10:15
As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.

    John 10:26
But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you.

    Hebrews 13
20 Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
21 make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

    New International Version
He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
1 Timothy 1:15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.

This is not a possible salvation, it is absolute. Jesus Christ came down from Heaven to die and be the atoning sacrifice for our sins, that is for the sins of believers only.
He came to save sinners, not that he made it possible to save sinners.

And it is the same thought in John 3:16 Christ was only lifted up so that believers would receive Eternal Life.

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

And v17, the might is not a 'possibility', the meaning here is an absolute salvation Christ obtained for the sheep.

v17, 'might be saved' is G4982, and all 3 English word are actually just one word in the Greek, σῴζω
'might be saved' is just one word that English cant show so it is written as a phrase.

    G4982 - sōzō - Strong's Greek Lexicon (KJV)

this is what might be 'saved' the world means.
Obviously none of those of the world can fit into the meaning here. Because it is not talking about possibly being saved, it is really talking about absolutely being saved.

to save, keep safe and sound, to rescue from danger or destruction

    1. one (from injury or peril)
      1. to save a suffering one (from perishing), i.e. one suffering from disease, to make well, heal, restore to health

      2. to preserve one who is in danger of destruction, to save or rescue
    2. to save in the technical biblical sense

Here is another more obvious proof, Christ says He gives His life as a ransom for many.
Christ does not say, He gives His life as a ransom for all.
Which if Christ died for people who wont get saved, that means He did not make atonement for their sin, which is a bad thought to have.
As Moses made atonement under command from God where HE says, 'Thou shalt make atonement', so too did Christ make atonement, and atonement means their sins which are many are forgive them, and the unbelieving world's sins are not forgiven them.

    Matthew 20:28
just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
    Mark 10:45
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

And with this the prophet's agree, that HE bore the sin of MANY, Christ did NOT bore the sin of ALL.

    Isaiah 53:12
Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, And He shall divide the spoil with the strong, Because He poured out His soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And He bore the sin of many, And made intercession for the transgressors.

Yes you can!... You can be lost to the joys of the Lord like David who was a man of War and the sword never left his house... Sometimes you can lose the blessing of the Lord because you decided to do it your way, instead of Lords way... You become a sheep and follow the Lord, you've denied one master and followed another... When you follow the Lord the Devil becomes your enemy... The saved sheep always have a warfare, that they fight everyday and if you don't, you are blessed because in my life and I am not a novice by any means, I been following the Lord over 50 years and that as far as I know and through out my life experiences and hearing others, that is way it is.

The Devil loves to put it in your face, when you slip and we all do, well if you were a child of God you wouldn't have done that?... Oh and how many times, has he put in our minds a reminder of a past sins and transgression, that the Lord has forgiven?... Taking up your cross and following Jesus, puts you right in the cross-hairs, of the roaring Lion seeking whom he may devour... His favorite food is sheep!... He will try to cause chaos and havoc, in your life, your family life, and your church life, well you get the picture... If we are honest with each other, each and everyone of us have had their trials and tribulations in this life and that is just our lot in life... Lost eternally?... NEVER!... As scripture states:

    1 Corinthians 3:21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;

    3:22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;

3:23 And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's

The old covenant was for the Jews all of it just like Austin you believe you are elect when you can't prove your elect. Let me know when you find scripture that says God elected Gentiles.

In a court of law you and I couldn't prove that we're saved, either.

The simple fact of the matter is, the "whosoever believeth" are God's elect, MB.
How is that connection so hard for you to make, sir?

The Bible quite plainly and interchangeably uses the terms "saint", "elect", "believer", "beloved", "them that are saved", "lively stones", "them that have obtained mercy", "them that are in the faith", "sheep", "wheat", "spiritual", "in the Spirit", and many others to describe those that are saved.

To me, you're arguing against God's very words.
    That's been done repeatedly, MB.
I'm not sure why you don't agree, but they have been presented many times.
God choosing sinners to salvation is the truth.
See 2 Thessalonians 2:13, Ephesians 1:4, Romans 8:29-30, and many others.
How do you know what Glen is on the inside, MB?
    Can you see his heart?

    No, only he Lord can.

    That aside...
The Roman Catholic church teaches the exact opposite of what you call "Calvinism" teaches, and has done so for some 1500 years.
It went from teaching election, to later on teaching against it.

    In addition:
If you look carefully today, most of the ones who are professing to know God but in works they deny Him,
are far and away largely those who teach a "free will" gospel instead of a "God's will" Gospel.

    For example..."Affirming churches"?
    They are definitely not "Calvinistic".

    In other words...
The ones who love the world and its ways and try so very hard ( some of them ) to hide it?
The vast majority of them are the ones who fight, tooth and nail, against God's right to bestow His grace upon whomsoever He wishes.

It's not hard to find the statistics, MB.

    He didn't.
He warned us about false teachers who would seek to trouble God's children,
seek to place them back into the bondage of following the Law in order to gain favor with God ( which is impossible ),
and seek to teach them fables...

Fables like God "offering" salvation to all,
and then purposefully tying His own hands so that only those that "decide in His favor" are the ones that He is obligated to save.

    The truth is,
God is not obligated to save anyone, and He can save anyone or no one as He pleases.
He's made promises, and His elect are the ones that those promises are made to.

They are the "whosoever believeth", from the heart...
    Not from a wishy-washy "I once believed, and that makes me saved" point of view;
But from a "I've believed and I will hang on to my hope in Christ-no-matter-what" kind of faith that endures to the end.
    MB,
    Personally, I think you call it "sick" because you seem to think that it's cruel for the Lord to choose to be merciful to some and not all;
When it's not only within His right to do so, but that is exactly what the Bible teaches in Romans 9.

Our works, our beliefs, and our efforts will not ever result in gaining God's favor, sir.
The only thing that comes into play with regard to salvation, is His decision to save someone.

With that said, be glad that you've believed on Christ.

As one of His elect, you've been given a very special gift over and above your fellow man...
    One that the Lord bestowed upon you when you weren't even aware or even cared about it;
The privilege to know God and His Son for the rest of eternity.

As always, may He be pleased to show you many truths in your studies of His precious word.:)

    John 6:37
“All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out.

Here we have a promise from Christ Jesus, to not cast us out. But the duration of that promise is not stated. Certainly if Christ does cast out a person given (put, placed, transferred, baptized into) to Christ, we should be able to see the evidence.

Let us take a look at the OP evidence:
    John 15:5
“I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.

    John 15:6
“If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned.
So John 15:5-6 says those who do not abide in Me are thrown away and burned up.

Romans 11:22 Behold then the kindness and severity of God; to those who fell, severity, but to you, God’s kindness, if you continue in His kindness; otherwise you also will be cut off.

In Romans 11:23 we see that "kindness" is contrasted with "unbelief" and so continuing in "kindness" means never to be cut-off. Does the verse indicate how a person who has been born anew within Christ might not continue to be within Christ? Any number of conjectures can be floated, such as the verse (22) addresses "tares" people who think they are in the kindness of God, but are not.

At the end of the Day, nothing posted above actually demonstrates anyone born anew and sealed in Him will be cast out or cut off. On the other hand, we have John 3:16 which says everyone believing into Christ shall not perish but have eternal life.
Thus loss of salvation folks are peddling bogus views.
