Confusing Terms used in theology

Seriously, if you were to explain to someone how to know for sure of being saved and going to be present with the Lord, what would you explain so one could know without any doubt? Without using confusing or ambiguous language.

Depends on who I'm talking to. But I've never used words that weren't understandable.
By the way, to me, words like penal substitution sound really bad in Chinese. Do you know you implying that a person is a criminal is really bad in Chinese culture? I don't think the Presbyterians here even say stuff like that.

How much one needs to add can depend on whom one is talking to. But as to explaining gospel and knowing for sure, that is not going to change.

So [to someone who speaks only English] what would you explain?
