There are lots of private initiatives to help people with various problems.

How are you going to stop these parents from gambling their entire paychecks away while their children go hungry? Please be specific. Something is telling me you could care less about the kids who go hungry.

That is not true, Ken. If I have enough time I will find it in the archives. I remember debating this very topic with you.

The government already regulates sleeping with truck drivers...

And wasn't it last week that NY banned greasy fries?

You'll never, ever find me wanting the government to interfere with businesses. But waste your time if you like.

    Ken,

There was a law on the ballot about 5 years ago that would have had the government enforcing stricter regulations on the way farmers treated animals before slaughter, and you did support it. We debated it a lot. You were for it, I was against it. Had to do with "humane" treatment of animals.

"Do passing these laws prtoect the community as a whole?"

Exactly the way communists think in wanting to snuff out individual liberty.

Since most forms of gambling are illegal in most places in the US anyway, then why is suprising that the government is doing something about internet gambling. Other than the state lottery and bingo there is not legal gambling where I live. If it is illegal for me to go to a casino in my town then shouldn;t it be illeagle to log onto to the net and play casino games?

No, it didn't. You mistakenly believed that it did back then. I doubt you will accept the truth about that ballot proposal now.

So you want the government to pass laws to attempt to prevent any harm or injury from ever happening? INCREDIBLE!!!!

Do you not want to do anything to prevent it? I thought you had some private initiative that would answer my objection to your immoral isolationist attitude. What is it?
