From Fox News. I wonder how loud it’ll get if Trump could pull this off. It will be interesting.
President Trump is asking everyone to share this, in three days, most people in the United States will have seen the message. This is an idea that should be passed around, regardless of political party.
The TRUMP Rules:
1. Tenure / No Pension. A Congressman/woman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they're out of office. And no more perks go with them.
2. Congress (past, present, & future) participates in Social Security. All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.
3. Congress must purchase their own retirement plan, just as ALL Americans do.
4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise at the same rate as the COLA for monthly Social Security recipients minus 1% if having a budget balance deficit.
5. Congress loses their current care system and participates in the same health care system (Medicare) as the American people.
6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people (i.e. NO MORE INSIDER TRADING!!!).
7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are void. The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen/women. Congress made all these contracts by and for themselves.
Serving in Congress is an honor and privilege, NOT a career.
The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators should serve their term(s), then go home and go back to work … not get all kinds of freebies. Term limits of 2 terms and treat them like a regular citizen!
You will need to copy and paste.
I AGREE SO IM SHARING!
Note:
This should be done immediately!!!
Thank you! Copy/Paste

Couple things (if not more wrong with the proposal you mentioned. )

# 1 A Congressman does NOT receive any pay when out of office - other than his retirement. (

# 2 congressmen A) DO participate in SS

# 3 congressman DO contribute to their retirement system

# 4 Congressmen tenecially do not vote on their own pay raise. According to the COUS - an election must occur between a pay raise and the effective date. Their last pay raise was in 2007.

# 5 Congressmen DO pay into their medical plans CHECK OBAMA CARE

# 6 Actually the COTUS DOES exempt Congressmen from some laws!

Term limits - I would recommend a limit if 5 terms for the House and 3 for the Senate
AND NO govt paid retirement.

One other thing about pay - Party leaders, such as major/minor leaders, ect - SHOULD not be given extra pay (currently an extra 40 grand) over the current 174 grand.

As far as the Speaker of the House & President Pro-temp (Senate) should NOT be current representatives of their District / State/Commonwealth. Rather they should be someone who is no longer a congressman. How can a man properly represent his district when he is the Speaker?

Did you know?

Outside Earned Income Limits

Members of Congress face strict caps on what they can earn outside their official duties. The limit is set at 15% of the annual rate for Level II of the Executive Schedule, calculated as of January 1 each year.12 For calendar year 2026, that cap works out to $33,855.13

This restriction covers wages, salaries, fees, and other compensation for services. Investment income, such as dividends and capital gains, does not count against the cap. Members are also prohibited entirely from earning income for practicing a profession that involves a fiduciary relationship, such as practicing law for clients. Honoraria for speeches or appearances are banned as well, though members can request that an honorarium be donated to charity instead. These rules apply to senior congressional staff earning above a certain pay threshold, not just to members themselves.

Bernie Sanders states that Congressmen can make 200 grand an hour making a speech:
What is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the Truth!

32 of the highest paid speakers.

According to a 2016 Forbes analysis of their tax returns, the Clintons had made over $240 million since leaving the White House. Chelsea is worth about 15 million (not counting what her hubby is worth)

I wonder how much of that 240 million / 15 million did the Clintons pay to the IRS??
