Lutheran Seminary Fires President
Latini said via email that [there was]..."a politically based whisper campaign against me...I have been scapegoated....and have been given little chance to respond to the accusations against me."
New Seminary President's Past Catches School By Surprise
Prior to becoming a Lutheran, Latini was involved with "a conservative Presbyterian church that had “an ex-gay support group'" and became "director of OneByOne, a Pittsford, N.Y.-based advocate of so-called conversion therapy."
"Students, faculty and alumni first heard rumors of Latini’s past earlier this year" and have "made clear their displeasure with the administration’s handling of the presidential selection process in 2017 and the secrecy shrouding it."
