Today everyone has a label. The label most used today in both the secular and religious world is Conservative vs Liberals.
Other then "Some one who does not agree with me", how would you describe a Conservative? / Liberal?
I have often heard the term Pseudo Conservative. Is the such a thing as a Pseudo Liberal?

... how would you describe a Conservative? / Liberal? ...

A liberal thinks its the job of the government to take care of everybody.

A conservative believes that it is the responsibility of a person to take care of himself.

A liberal Christian takes Christ's example and teachings on how we should treat others and if churches are not going to take these teachings seriously and act there is nothing left but the government.

A conservative, in the modern context, says I have mine and I want more and I do not want to help others regardless of how much they need help.

The preaching of each person should take care of themselves completely ignores the fact that there are people who, through no fault of their own, cannot help themselves. The ultra-conservative says, "Tough."

The problem is that many churches have stopped giving physical aid, because the govt is doing the mission of the church.

Crabby, you sure do write some great fiction!

You MIGHT be right about the ultra-conservatives, but the mainline conservative will say, at least try to help yourself.

The motto of the conservative is "Give a man a fish, he eats for a day, teach him how to fish, and he eats for a lifetime.

BTW, a definition of liberal is "to give freely"
I don't mind giving freely to whom I wish to help, I just don't want Crabby and other Liberals giving freely of MY MONEY to just anybody.

Crabtownboy: I believe it is the other way around. Churches were not doing their share and thus government programs were instituted.

Crabtownboy: My statement came directly from the mouth of a conservative workmate. We were good friends but did agreed on little.

Crabtownboy: I agee for those who can it is much better to teach them to fish. However, for those who cannot fish ... because of age, ill health, etc. we should be willing to share of our bounty and help them.

Crabtownboy: Then convince Christians to give enough that government programs will not be needed.

Quite clearly the liberal is one who points the finger and blames others. Liberals strive for that perfect utopia here on earth which isn't going to be realized under the leadership of politicians. Liberals are selfish; demanding; crude; rude; obnoxious; and the first to indulge in name calling. Needless to say this is not all inclusive.

Conservatives are just the opposite. Certainly not perfect in any stretch of the imagination but assume a more mature posture over issues.

Liken the two as Extroverts vice Introverts, in theory.

Extroverts absorb data which ultimately often results in making snap decisions, often proving to be costly.

Introverts absorb the same data, ponder it for a while so as to make decisions more beneficial and longer lasting.

If you will notice, a Pipe Smoker is a dead give-away of an extremely Introverted individual. They will make a decision but it might be six months down the road. I consider a Cigar Smoker as an Extrovert. Cigarette smokers more middle of the road.

Hey, that's how I see it.
