Conservatives need to acknowledge a paradigm shift has occurred: Big Tech companies are not “free market capitalists,” but are, in fact, agents of American socialism. When Michelle Obama tweets out that Twitter and Facebook should deplatform the sitting President of the United States, and they follow that directive within a day or so, we need to realize there is a new power structure in place. Keep in mind that Hitler rose to power with the support of German industrialists. He never needed to have his government pass a decree ordering the Final Solution; his followers knew what was expected.

Conservatives need to forum shop for a receptive judge and file a class-action lawsuit. The suit would demand that Big Tech’s monopolistic practices, which they’ve effectively used to corner the same speech they now block, must be ended by their releasing to the public domain all the programs and processes they use to restrict our rights under the First Amendment. The Government should be named as an un-indicted co-conspirator due to its complicity in allowing Big Tech to exert unlimited control over their marketplace of speech and ideas, thereby denying us our First Amendment rights! This is exactly the way the lawsuit should be framed.

Is it a tech monopoly or is it tech companies (plural)?? Is Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Vevo, Dailymotion, DTube, Ellen, Reddit, Tumblr, Plurk, WTSpcial, Yubo, Eyeem, Diaspora, Rumble, Mastodon.....and the hundreds of other companies really one company?

The truth is they are not. There are literally thousands of co.peting companies. But some conservative socialists want to make the ones that have become most popular submit to their will. They want to socialize these companies.

The mobile phone services consist of 2 major players (AT&T and Verizon), and then T-Mobile-Sprint. There are a handful of others. They are not monopolies.

What is being suggested by conservatives is socialism.

Now, should they enjoy the protections the government currently extends? No. But that is a different issue (or solution?).

I just do not think Big Government and socialistic ideology is the solution. It is amazing so many otherwise conservative people do.

Until this past Friday, federal prosecutor Michael Sherwin was leading the largest criminal investigation in U.S. history. Sherwin's team has charged hundreds of suspects in January's assault on the Capitol. Sherwin has said little. But Wednesday, before he moved to his next assignment for the Department of Justice, he sat down with us to explain the nationwide dragnet that began after the riot.

Michael Sherwin: As looking eight, nine weeks out from the events, we're over 400 criminal cases, which is a pretty amazing number, I think, in a very limited time frame.

Scott Pelley: 400 defendants?

Michael Sherwin: Correct. 400 defendants. And the bulk of those cases are federal criminal charges, and significant federal felony charges. Five, 10, 20-year penalties. Of those 400 cases, the majority of those, 80, 85%, maybe even 90, you have individuals, both inside and outside the Capitol, that breached the Capitol, trespassed. You also have individuals, roughly over 100, that we've charged with assaulting federal officers and local police officers. The 10% of the cases, I'll call the more complex conspiracy cases where we do have evidence, it's in the public record where individual militia groups from different facets: Oath Keepers, Three Percenters, Proud Boys, did have a plan. We don't know what the full plan is, to come to D.C., organize, and breach the Capitol in some manner.
