Comrade, you are correct. The menw ith their long hair, look just like.... well I better not post it here as I am sure someone who loves ccm will be highly offended.

Wait, effeminate will work. Thats how they look, and what does the Bible say about such men? Have ccmers ever look at that?

Praise Him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise Him with the harp and lyre, praise Him with tambourine and dancing, praise Him with the strings and flute, praise Him with the clash of cymbals...let everything that has breath praise the LORD.

Psalm 149:3-4:
Let them praise His name with dancing and make music to Him with tambourine and harp. For the LORD takes delight in His people; He crowns the humble with salvation.

When's the last time you used "clashing cymbals" or a tambourine or dancing in your church? Probably when you were doing "contemporary" music.

wow heated debate here... ive been reading alot of it, and i have a question. what is this "world music" compared to the "christian music"? all music is God's music (i don't mean lyrics im talking about the music its self). um, yeah i listen to some ccm stuff i guess, but mostly non christian music... but that seems to be a different subject. i probably should get to much into this, but i thought id ask that question... please explain the difference between world music and christian music.

Peace
Ethan

Jim, Comrade,

Not everyone here is IFB (thank God!). I most definately am not.

You are both entitled to your opinions, but then so are the rest of us.

these so called Christians...
Shouldn't God be the judge of that?
These salutes are more then enough to show who is behind ccm.
...um, that salute is "rock on!"
This goes back to the old question is something evil if no one knows it is evil. Take for instance the jack-o-lantern. I confess I have cut out many. Bad Matt. Or the easter bunny is some old fertility god. I don't know the answer.
And what of the history of ccm?
I trace my CCM to Paul and Barnbas in jail rockin' out so hard that God caused an earth quake
in applause!

(sorry, bad joke)

give me a good distiction between CCM's Plus One and N'Sync, give me destiction of Disciple and Korn, give a difference of Out of Eden and Destiny's Child,

There has been no distinguishment among worldly and godly in CCM, it is wrong

Budo,

It is personal opinion. Mine says that it is praising God. Theirs is that it is the work of Satan.

Go figure.

But, then again, the Church of Christ condemns the use of ANY music, so I guess saying that they think it to be the devil's handiwork is something we'll just have to put up with.

In Christ,
Trotter
