Great! So if we elect another Democratic president abortion can continue to go down. Actually, there's a lot of truth to that. Abortion has gone down more under Democratic presidents than under Republican presidents since Roe vs. Wade.

Okay, let's use your 'reasonng' see that crime rates have declined under Trum: http://www.americanpatriotdaily.com/featured/crime-rates-all-time-low-under-trump/
and then elect him again and more of those like him.

[And may the reader note that this poster does not expect whatever he says to be just believed and therefore cited a source, unlike FollowTheWay.]

This is the history of violent crime in the U.S. 1960-2016:
Violent Crime in the US 1960-2016.jpg
This is the conclusion of the Brennan Center for Justice study which is the study your link references.
  • The violent crime rate will also decrease slightly, by 1.1 percent, essentially remaining stable. Violent crime remains near the bottom of the nation’s 30-year downward trend.
Basically, the crime rate ticked up a little in 2016 and back down a little in 2017 remaining at the level of the Obama administration.

Now what is the basis for your argument again?

That if crime went "up a little" in 2016 and "back down a little in 2017 [Trump's year; not Obama's]," then elect a Republican president to reduce crime... following your reasoning that under a Democratic president abortion rates go down.

Look at how much it came down under Clinton and Obama. Then compare that to how much crime went UP under reagan and GHW Bush. The peak is about 1992. I'd say Democratic presidents have done a great deal more to reduce crime, wouldn't you?

OK, what have Democratic presidents done to reduce violent crime? (And let's not conflate the two--you talk of violent crime, show graphs on violent crime, and then claim crime in general went down.)

More likely it was policies put in place by state and local authorities. Mayor Guiliani's tough stance on crime in New York City, for example.

And how much did it go up under Kennedy/Johnson and Carter?

can you quote anything that does not originate from a leftist perspective? The Brennan Center is described as left leaning from the leftist wikipedia.

Why did it coincidentally go down under democratic administrations/

I didn't originally quote the Brennan Center. It's study was referred in the Breitbart quote.
