So what we believe is a "void" or "empty?"
Not necessarily. But do any of us have the complete picture? I think we all compliment each other sharing how God applies certain scriptures to our lives that are different from the lives on others.

So, can two opposites both be true? Can the Holy Spirit teach conflicting lessons on the same subject and both are true?

I'll bet we can both quote the same scriptures and your life experience in them will differ from mine. But both will be true experiences.

Any specific doctrines in mind?
I think we see differences between Christians on this board proving it is not a cult. All have knowledge unique to them and a willingness to share it. And free speech is still held in high esteem by many.

So truth is based on your experience?

You're not answering his question:

So, can two opposites both be true? Can the Holy Spirit teach conflicting lessons on the same subject and both are true?

In view is what the Word of God teaches, not your experience, or how you apply Scripture in your personal life. I'd like to hear the answer.

God bless.

No, experience helps interpret the passages. Example, a heart of Love will interpret non-violence differently from a heart of aggression.....
Cannot the Holy Spirit teach to us the truth in the bible regardless of our experiences?

Okay, thanks for admitting that you interpret Scripture based on your experience.

Define hate reading of the bible

The flesh (hatred) sees what it wants to see in scripture. The Spirit sees what he wants us to see. The battle of flesh and Spirit also exists in our interpretations of scripture. Think Rorschach Test (inkblot test) when you read this.

“For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing even to the point of dividing soul from spirit, and joints from marrow; it is able to judge the desires and thoughts of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12) (NET)

Many expose their own wickedness in their interpretations.

Please take a doctrine and show where that is happening here!

Once again your refuse to answer an honest question.
Begin a new thread so all can present the persecutions they suffered.

“Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” (2 Timothy 3:12) (KJV 1900)
