I used to LOVE it, but after being put on a strict protein diet for my pregnancies, and having to eat that stuff nearly every day for months at a time, I just don't have those same old feelings.

Yes, I like it. I'll have to try it with onions and chives. That sounds good.

Sue, I found a recipe recently on the frugalabundance site that tells how to make curds and whey from powdered milk. I haven't tried it, though.

None of the answers apply to me. I like it but don't love it. I would buy it on a regular basis but can't afford it. My money is too limited, and I've had to cut out everything that isn't affordable and filling. Cottage cheese is not affordable for me for no more than you get for your money.

Absolutely! Have you ever tried it as a filling for jacket baked potato?

I have tried this, and liked it a lot, but when I get `peckish` at 10.00 at night the cracker box is easier to get hold of  Sometimes a packet of Pringles (plain) and a tub of cottage cheese comes to hand:thumbs: Now that`s a quick fix !!

I like only the small curd cottage cheese (I think that's what it's called) and not too creamy, mixed in with something a little sweet, like pineapple.

I don't hate it, but I can't even finish half a carton before I get tired of it. Secondly, it's a bit overpriced, so I never buy it.

Whenever I think of cottage cheese, I think of stereotypical bad cafeteria food from the 1960's era. A small plate with a lettuce leaf, topped with a single rounded scoop of cottage cheese. On top, a lone maraschino cherry half. (The cherry half has to sit there long enough to leave a red spot on top of the cottage cheese when it is lifted off.)

My dad (89 years old) lives in an assisted living center. Nearly all of the residents are in their 80's and 90's. Occasionally for dinner, one of the (two) rotating choices they offer will be cottage cheese with (canned) peaches, pears and pineapple. (The typical 'diet plate' offered on restaurant menus decades ago.)

BTW, Nixon ate his cottage cheese topped with ketchup.
