It is obvious that I am much more conservative on this issue than you. I am a government for the people, by the people and of the people.

You are siding with the for big money interests, by big money interests and of big money interests. So, you are are very liberal on this one ... as well as very liberal in some of your Biblical interpretations. Also you are siding with very activiist judges.

No - you are siding with limiting free speech.

How can a corporation has free speech ... corporation meaning:

an association of individuals, created by law or under authority of law, having a continuous existence independent of the existences of its members, and powers and liabilities distinct from those of its members.

You are for making the average person totally unimportant to politicians. That is very liberal. I thought you were for smaller government.

Why have we not heard such an outcry from the left concerning the millions of dollars unions pour into the democratic party? Why have we not heard such an outcry from the left concerning the millions of dollars the trial lawyers also pour into the democratic party? Or what about organizations like Moveon.org? It's ok for them to hold the President and his party over a barrel with thier money but let an "evil" corporation get involved and suddenly Crabby is all up in arms.

Free speech for me, but none for thee. That's the elistist mantra.

Let me say something else. For someone who once said some conservatives can't understand big words, C.T.Boy has some of the most atrocious grammar I have ever seen.

crabtownboy said:
I did not always agree with Buckley, but I always knew he was intelligent. I cannot say that for the current talking heads ................ in fact I doubt they would have understood Buckley. He did use big words ............

“I won't insult your intelligence by suggesting that you really believe what you just said.”

William F. Buckley, Jr. quote

I will defend your free speech, but not a corporations as I do not see speech as possible for a business entity.

You quoted what I said about Buckley. If you watched Buckley and remember what he said then you realize he would have sided with me on this one. Buckley would never have wanted such power put in the hands of corporations and special interest groups.

“The best defense against usurpatory government is an assertive citizenry.”

William F. Buckley, Jr. quote

This ruling is usurpator, negating the citizens as important in campaign donations as they can never match, individually, that of corporations and special interest groups. Thus, they are taken almost totally out of the equation for raising money and thus their opinions become unimportant.

“You cultivate the essential virtues: high purpose, intelligence, decency, humility, fear of the Lord, and the passion for freedom.”

William F. Buckley, Jr. quote

This ruling will take away freedoms from the people as it marginalizes their importance to politicians.

Yup. So I won't believe you think I'm a liberal. Also, remember, about your grammar, a man that won't admit his mistakes won't learn from his mistakes.

It's a good thing the conservative SCOTUS disagrees with you. Since how you cannot come up with a constitutional reason to ban corporations, I have to think you are unable to articulate your position, so your argument is to call us liberals.

There is no power granted to them. And if you expect me to believe Buckley would agree with Olbermann, you are crazy.

Baloney. This decision removes the constraints of free speech imposed on us by liberals like John McCain & George Bush.

So when individuals join together they loose their right to free speech?

Associations like unions?

Why do associations of workers enjoy free speech but in your mind associations of shareholders do not?

Your first mistake was responding to that post in hopes of a reasonable answer. your second mistake was responding to that post in hopes of a reasonable answer. Your third mistake was responding to that post in hopes of a reasonable answer.

I have to admit that Crabby's trolley seems to have jumped the track.
