When I was out West on furlough last year I was told that there are many varieties of CC. The one thing they have in common is that they concentrate on the cowboy culture. (There is even at least one with a rodeo ring in the middle of the auditorium.) So it would have to be on a case by case basis.Would you consider joining or being a pastor of a Cowboy church?
John - how about a Cowboy church there in Japan??
I currently pastor a cowboy church.
Our association has two and is starting another one.
What is the name of your association?
Crossroads BA.
I've got the hat, boots, shirt, belt and jeans. They won't let me have the gun. I wore the outfit once to a Japanese school assembly to introduce gaijin (foreigners) to the kids. They loved it.John - how about a Cowboy church there in Japan??
Don't let this derail the thread, but I just wanted to mention that we have a Biker Church in my city. I know the pastor (a Baptist), and they have had a good response to that ministry.
There may be a cowboy church in Western Kentucky, but I don't know of one. Maybe some of my colleagues from this same area could enlighten.
I'm sure I drove past a CC in Paducah. I think on HWy 60. I could be wrong.

I noticed that this fellowship of cowboy churches that you referenced subscribes to the Baptist Faith & Message of 1963, which is a good thing. I'm glad they don't subscribe to the BF&M 2000 which abandons historic Baptist principles, including those affirmed in the BF&M 1963.
