Hmm, Olive Garden. People either seem to like it or loathe it. Almost all their food is overloaded with saturated fat and sodium, two and sometimes three days' worth in one meal. I only go about once a year and that is because someone else wants to go or I get invited out.

As for the Cracker Barrel...I've never been to one. The only one here in Denver in in the Northernmost suburbs, while I live in the southern suburbs. Denver is a big city, it would probably be an hour's drive one way.
Not quite, unless traffic is really bad. Of course there is one at I-25 and N. Academy in the Springs...easy and quick from south metro Denver. The north one is at 120th.

Even from 3000 miles away I can almost smell Uncle Hershals breakfast with country ham :).

Preposterous.

According to the Bible (the book of Hesitations), Uncle Herschel's is to be consumed with hamburger steak and 57 sauce.

:D

I'm now taking bets on MP changing his avatar to Cracker Barrel. Anyone? Anyone?

I've tryed there meat loaf and didn't care for it, there green are ok but I like a gook amount of fatback cooked in it, I'm more into country ham, red eye gravy than packing house ham or sugar cured ham as I said I'm country.

Our church is full of folks from NY, NJ, and New England and they love it. Most of our group eat outs are at CB and I just by pass it after two or three times. If I eat out I want a steak house or a fish house, at home I have green and northern beans and cornbread all the time. I guess I'm like a guy who lives a few door down the street, he is from Italy and has only been over here about 3 years, wife and I took him out to eat and was going to take him to Olive Garden because we believed he would like their food, when we told him that, he ask if we would take him anywhere but there, so we went to a fish house. He does not care much Olive Garden or other places of that type.
Bolded mine

Hey, Bob; I got absolutely NO problem with your taste(s). I'm into all that too

Like I said, I like most any food; the one glaring exception is liver! Yech!!

Oh! One of my mostest favorites growing up was red-eye gravy and rice. Man, talk about food fit for a king--!!

Gotta go - drooling all over my keyboard.

Love country ham and biscuits, and might as well have some eggs with that. We've always love breakfast at Cracker Barrell. But my very favorite thing there is the country chef salad, lots of meat, bacon, country ham, turkey, big salad, way too big for me, or their baked chicken with dressing and gravy. Guess I better shut up now about food.

The closest Cracker Barrel is 198 miles away. The closest IHOP is 189 miles and the closest Sonic is 180 miles away. I don't get all that good stuff they advertise on TV. :(
I buy my bluegrass music online.
