Bob, I either attended Creation or worked there for eight years and even went to Cornerstone a couple of times.Originally posted by Dr. Bob Griffin:
Anybody care to answer my question, seriously? I have heard that some activities at "christian" rock festivals are as vile as those in the unsaved world.
I'm asking for honest evaluations from those attending.
'89 was the year of the flood.Originally posted by Travelsong:
The only Creation I ever went to was Creation '89. I don't remember a whole lot of the bands that played-I do remember Michael W. Smith singing "Creation '89, We praise the Father of the great design", but the rest is a blur because I was in a drunken stupor. Just kidding, I caught sun sickness really bad and didn't enjoy the event too much. We pale skinned Irish red heads have the worst of it in the summer sun.
I don't remember that they did have to cut short the 'Compassion All Star Band" show because the lightning was so bad.Originally posted by Travelsong:
That's right Mike, I also remember someone got electricuted from swimming near a stage or something.
I remember them. They were a hair metal band. "Hair metal" and "stupid" is a bt redundant, don't you think?Oh, and a really stupid band named "Shout" and their album was titled "In Your Face".
"The Champion". I remember that. And I think Carmen was there and did that boxing song.
