Has anyone ever implemented a Customer Management SW (CRM).

There are Cloud versions & SW Versions but I really want to get away from VPN connections & Id also like it to operate with both inventory & Billing programs. I havent even explored what QUICKEN has?

Apparently, it's not as big a subject for individual/small businesses. I know people who intended to use such software for their small businesses; but the amount of time required to keep it up-to-date made it prohibitive.

I see those systems as more beneficial to larger companies who have a fully-staffed Marketing department.

Depends on what you expect to get out of the software.

For sales, mostly contact sw & follow up with metrix....but id also like it to integrate with inventory and accounting. Put that on the cloud so you get access from anywhere and emulate it on laptops, tablets & cell phones. No big deal right:laugh:

It would definitely need to integrate with inventory; if you have a customer that wants a continuing monthly shipment, that should be automated and tied to marketing (to send out customer thank you's, notices of upcoming discounts and customer-appreciation offers to pull interest into other product lines, etc.), inventory, and accounting....

Wish I knew more about those particular types of software. But I haven't used any. My mother-in-law had me install one for her about fifteen years ago for a business she was running, but she didn't keep it up, and it became easier for her to use a Rolodex.

Yes well if your on the street, you can execute transactions without having to call the plant....you could also check credit status as well as history. These animals do get complecated and expensive granted...but if your competition is doing it.....
