The Cuban Studies Institute, a Florida Think Tank, has release an excellent and informative analysis and description of the members of the Cuban politburo. Raul and his cohorts are getting to be very old and their ages look like a nursing home roster. So who will take over when Raul kicks the bucket?

I think that the sleeper is Raul's son (apparently, Fidel's children are as unfit as he was) "Coronel Alejandro Castro Espín (53 years old) Son of Raúl Castro Intelligence Coordinator of the Armed Forces and the Ministry of the Interior (MININT)"

Ties had to be cut with Cuba because Cuba and China (both communists) are harming our diplomats with sonic devices that attack hearing and attack the brain through hearing. We should totally close our embassy in Cuba. Cuba long ago infiltrated our government and one of their major sources of income is selling US secrets to other nations. Cuba was never interested in a thaw with us; they hate us forever and Che wanted to drop atomic bombs on New York City, as you know.

Yep, Trump rolled back some of the Obama policy, not all or most of it. It just wasn't working out, the whole point of the thawing of relations was to encourage Cuba to have a freer, less oppressive government and all this was in place before Castro died. Changing the power has changed nothing, and Obama had it where Americans were partially supporting the crazy Cuban military.

I agreed with the lifting of the travel restrictions (opened some eyes) but now you have to go with a tour group. What I find most offensive about the whole thing was the ending of "wet foot dry foot" by Obama at the end of his presidency - that was pure spiteful payback for the Cubans in Florida not delivering for Hillary. .

HAVANA (Reuters) - The United States said on Friday it was making permanent its decision last year to slash staffing at its Havana embassy by around two-thirds because a spate of alleged health incidents among its diplomats remained unsolved.
The decision casts a pall on U.S.-Cuban relations and limits the United States’ ability to play a role in the civil society of the Communist-run island as it prepares for its first non-Castro president in nearly 60 years.
