Drastic staff cuts at U.S. Embassy in Cuba now permanent
HAVANA (Reuters) - The United States said on Friday it was making permanent its decision last year to slash staffing at its Havana embassy by around two-thirds because a spate of alleged health incidents among its diplomats remained unsolved.
The decision casts a pall on U.S.-Cuban relations and limits the United States’ ability to play a role in the civil society of the Communist-run island as it prepares for its first non-Castro president in nearly 60 years.

It will also hurt Cuban-American families divided by the Florida Straits, who have struggled to get visas to visit one another since the United States first cut the embassy’s staff in September due to the “attacks” that it says have caused hearing loss, dizziness and fatigue in two dozen employees

President Donald Trump’s administration also expelled 17 Cuban diplomats stationed in the United States.

Why didn't we formally complain to Cuba in the UN or otherwise. trump was just looking to overturn another one of Obama's policies.

By looking at the pictures of the aging Cuban elete, one can easily see that the Castros are racists. Blacks have only risen in the brutal police forces or in the highly competent Cuban military, which owns and operates the Cuban tourist industry. The Cuban military is the driving force in Venezuela and recently returned from helping the Russians in Syria again. The Castros expessed their hatred of Bautista in terms of his grandparents were black slaves.

When Raul dies, it is likely that his son will assume the dictatorship begun in 1959. When Fidel began riding the tiger it was until death. If the Castros do not hold onto power, they will be executed by the next gangster boss.

Nothing has changed in the last 3 1/2 years. The Castros are worth billions because Cuba was a rich country with lots to steal. The common person in Cuba has only slightly more than a North Korean now. The Haitians are richer than the Cubans. But Latin America per capita is now poorer than Africa per capita.
