...I am reminded why I ignore you! I had to see what others were saying, and wanted to reply to your post,...

Passive aggressiveness. Actually, strike the passive bit.

Seems counter-productive to play Sneak-a-Peek with one's Ignore List. Also seems childish to tell someone that they are on that list.

Exactly, which is why I am exposing your pigeonholing of God into your ideology.
Again, exactly. We are told in the verses you posted to not alter our laws to apply to us and not to sojourners and vice versa. So, to NOT deport illegals we are going against the very Bible verses that you quoted.

Interesting idea, since government is one of the institutions ordained by God himself.

You nailed ctb with that one. He has effectively used IDEOLOGY, not theology, to beat his drum. He is wrong on all counts! Sorry ctb, but you lose this one! Throwing tons of scripture at the wall and hoping something sticks, stinks! you only demonstrated an act of futility, and not a sound argument for your pathetic views and rants against Trump.

My theology is from the Bible, not from the secular GOP. The evangelists and conservatives have abandoned the teachings of Christ on how we are to treat others.

You still have a thorn [Edited] that conservatives are not chasing anybody out with a whip? (in comparable fashion to the leftwingers today?)

What everybody, from both sides, seems to have missed is that President Obama created this problem. His executive order granted amnesty of a sort to those who were brought here as children through no fault of their own.

But what President Obama failed to do was include a way for the Dreamers to apply for citizenship. In order to do so, as I pointed out above, the person must have had a green card for a minimum of five years. But it is almost impossible for a Dreamer to get a green card!

In order to get a green card a person must:

Be admitted as a refugee or apply for asylum if he can prove his life would be in danger if he went home.

An eligible employer can sponsor a person but this usually requires an engineering or other professional degree.

A close family member seeks permission to bring someone in (the most common way). But the close family member must be either a citizen or be eligible for citizenship.

All this nonsense of "why didn't they apply for citizenship" just indicates a failure to understand the problem. They didn't apply because they couldn't apply. They didn't meet the application requirements. President Obama neglected to include a pathway to obtain a green card. He left them in limbo!

That is why President Trump put the ball back in Congress's court, where it belongs. The law needs fixing. There needs to be a path for Dreamers to get a green card.

The fix is really quite simple if Congress has the guts to do it.

#1 Be admitted as a refugee or apply for asylum if he can prove his life would be in danger if he went home.

#2 An eligible employer can sponsor a person but this usually requires an engineering or other professional degree.

#3 A close family member seeks permission to bring someone in (the most common way). But the close family member must be either a citizen or be eligible for citizenship.

#4 Be certified as a Dreamer.

Problem solved.

Just keep telling yourself that ctb. If it helps, and you say it enough, like clicking your heels together and saying, "There's no place like home" you will eventually be whisked away to that magical place of make believe! So sorry if I offended you, ctb, but I always wanted to say that.

As for theology, who am I to judge. I don't know you personally, and all I can do is make an observation based on what I read, and so far, I see your theology tied closely to politics and ideology, which is why I called you out at first base. What I see coming from you is pure ideology, and a lose attempt to tie it to scripture!

By the way, theology is mankind's institution. It is a word or term invented by mankind, and nowhere in the Word of God to I see anything that suggests our belief system, faith and acts towards others, should be tied to, or linked to, or for that matter built upon or out of theology.

Well put and well thought out Doc! There is one hiccup in your four steps, it is still a "dream" which puts you in the same arena as the Dreamers! They need to be looked at case for case, and most need to return to their native homeland, and should they want to come back, go to the end of the legal entry line!

Cheaters should never prosper, and that goes for Dreamers, too!

Pots and kettles spring to mind here...and theology simply means "words about God": are you seriously suggesting we shouldn't talk about God here?

and theology simply means "words about God":
Actually, no, it doesn't. Λογοσ means the study of divine wisdom manifest in the creation, government, and redemption of the world. It is where we get our English word "logic" which means "reasoning conducted or assessed according to strict principles of validity."

The term was coined by Aristotle when discussing the three means of convincing a person on a subject under discussion, Ethos, Pathos, and Logos.

Ethos puts the argument in the the context of the characteristic spirit of a culture.

Pathos is an emotional appeal.

Logos is an appeal to critical study leading to a deeper understanding.

Therefore "Theology" means "The Critical Study of God."
