Danny Glover believes that the Haitian earthquake was caused by climate change

Mr Glover is an excellent actor, but he's a lousy geological physicist. Atmospheric conditions (including surface temperatures) do not affect plate techtonics.

Has anybdoy called him a nutcase - like they did Pastor Pat
There's a difference between a common lay person saying something uneducated, and an ordained person saying something unrighteous and in full knowlege thereof. I don't expect anything from an actor. I do, however, expect a lot from persons who put themselves in the pastorate, even if I personally disagree with their doctrinal positions.

Yep, definitely a difference is in the way the press "spins" the remarks, what else??

Danny Glover is not a scientist. He is an actor who holds a BA in Economics. Not shabby, but he is not a scientist. He has no clue what he is talking about. Honestly, this falls under the heading of it is better to be thought a fool than to open ones mouth and remove all doubt.

I forgot that DG has a bachelor's. I should appropriately retract my "uneducated" comment, and insert "not educated on the subject matter". Because no matter what we think of him personally, the fact that he completed college is an honorable thing. It doesn't excuse what he said, though.

Exactly what did Pat Robertson say that was "unrighteous?" I thought he stated that the earthquake could be a judgment from God. Are you saying that this earthquake is definitely not a judgment from God?

somehow actors always think they know more then most everyone else, and trouble is there are people for some reason think the actors are so highly inteeigent. i remember when my kids were little it was actors who were telling the world about allar on apples(may have spelled it wrong)
