Death at 75

(Assuming Joe Biden becomes President) Ezekiel Emanuel, oncologist and MSNBC analyst, is going to work on Biden's coronavirus advisory task force. Emanuel thinks 75 is a good age to die. Joe Biden is 78.
But here is a simple truth that many of us seem to resist: living too long is also a loss. It renders many of us, if not disabled, then faltering and declining, a state that may not be worse than death but is nonetheless deprived. It robs us of our creativity and ability to contribute to work, society, the world. It transforms how people experience us, relate to us, and, most important, remember us. We are no longer remembered as vibrant and engaged but as feeble, ineffectual, even pathetic.
Why I Hope to Die at 75: An argument that society and families—and you—will be better off if nature takes its course swiftly and promptly

I suspect he may change his mind when he reaches 74 1/2.

Nevertheless, the amoral argument that life is not worth living if a person is in poor health, aged, or disabled will become common place with a national run health care system so limited “resources” can be used responsibly.

peace to you

New Zealand just passed an Euthanasia law. Very popular liberal woman just got reelected to keep running that nation into the ground.

Another eugenicist like Bill Gates. I’m 79 so I guess I am on the Dems list. They shoot horses, don’t they?

They are euthanized, at least the ones that are well taken care of, like pets are. This is 2020, not 1920.

It was a movie, Ken. What can I tell you. If I were you, I would get everything curbside pickup just to be on the safe side. Biden will not spend money on horse euthanizers for third party types, just sayin

I know. Just remembering what happened to Eight Belles after the finish of the 2008 Kentucky Derby. :(

Nathan Salsburg recorded a couple of songs with her name in the titles on his “Affirmed” album(named after the Triple Crown winning horse).
