I don't get the CNN tweet

They accidentally inserted the word “former” in the original tweet and then removed it in the corrected tweet.

It’s not uncommon on Twitter. Several
times I’ve had to delete tweets and redo them. Twitter really needs an “edit” button like on Facebook.

Most likely they couldn’t decide whether to say, “former Vice President...” or “Dem nominee” and just confused the two. Corrected immediately. No big deal

This part was poorly written - "incorrectly referred to Biden's status as the Democratic nominee". That could mean Biden is not the current Democratic nominee, not that they botched the first reference.

Just forget it.

"Come on, man." You're taking all the fun out of it. Their redundant slip is an obvious tell that "they" are planning something nefarious for Biden. It can't possibly be that they are just that incompetent.
