MY WORDS 1st LINE= I speak with atheists on myspace all the time. did you read?

Yes; believe it or not, that's what I usually do with the first line of an original post-- I READ it.

But if you can talk to atheists, that's one for you. I have been kicked off atheist sites because I make a point to be twice as rude, sarcastic, and vulgar as they are.

:( I hope by this you mean that you avoid talking to atheists now because you recognize how unbiblical your actions become when you do.

KJV - Romans 12:19-21 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Revelation 18:6 -- Pay her back even as she has paid, and give back to her double according to her deeds; in the cup which she has mixed, mix twice as much for her.

Suerly you are not equating your actions with Gods judgment.

This is talking about God judging Babylon. Now while I won't argue with the idea of atheists being part of Babylon, surely you don't think you are God!!! :praying:

Oh, surely I don't! But can you tell first person from second person verbs?

Are you implying that because this sentence is translated in an imperative form it means that God is telling us to do this? You have to be joking...I just can't imagine a Christian having such a grandiosity complex. God is the only One in the position to judge non-believers for their sin. Since that is what Babylon represents in Revelation, I don't think I'd be claiming God's position if I were you. :BangHead:

Col 4:5 Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity.
Col 4:6 Let your speech always be with grace, {as though} seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.

Has my 'speech' not been salty enough?

It would appear that you don't understand the true meaning of that verse.

I like MacArthur's definitions of these two verses, so I will quote him.

4:5 those...outside. This refers to unbelievers. Believers are called to so live that they establish the credibility of the Christian faith and that they make the most of every evangelistic opportunity.
4:6 with grace. To speak what is spiritual, wholesome, fitting, kind, sensitive, purposeful, complimentary, gentle, truthful, loving, and thoughtful. seasoned with salt. Just as salt not only flavors, but prevents corruption, the Christian's speech should act not only as a blessing to others, but as a purifying influence within the decaying society of the world.

It would APPEAR that you know sarcastic humor real, real good!

I asked in post #27 if you were joking, because it didn't seem you could be serious. But since you ignored that question, and kept on answering in kind towards Youngmom, I started to assume you were for real. Can't really tell online sometimes especially if it goes on for a number of pages, unless of course someone answers when asked. Glad you were only kidding around.
