The deer opener is on Saturday in my home state of Wisconsin. With a few days to go beforehand, it is one of the leading stories on local TV and in print.

LOL.

Been sitting out on Saturdays since bow season started Oct 1. However, game cameras are only catching deer during the wee hours in the middle of the night; and I'm not into poaching.

my neighbor gave me a deer a couple days ago, quartered and on ice in a cooler; of course he's expecting some jerky in return (I make good jerky).

If any of you are sneaky and quiet and can drop one quickly, I have always at least 3 in my backyard at any given time. We have a nice looking 10 point buck along with some smaller 6 pointers and a BUNCH of does and yearlings. :)
