    Two things:

    #1- Doesn't your theology make the spirit a fruit of faith, rather than faith a fruit of the spirit?

    #2- You are arguing that a doctrine or belief must be 'commonly accepted' before it is truth? What about evolution? are you an evolutionist? How about a universalist? Whatever happened to 'truth is truth whether you think so or not?'

    What would you accept as evidence my friend? That is what we ask the atheists when we witness to them. They say there is no evidence of God and we ask them 'what evidence would work for you?' So i ask you- what evidence would be acceptable to believe the doctrines of grace to be true?

    The residence of FAITH in God within the man is IN the spirit. It is that faith in the spirit that produces the fruit of the spirit!

    No I am not! I am telling you that the substance of the doctrine must be common among men for the Doctrine to be valid. In the case of Election, there must be something common to man, which is yet to be identified and proven, that substantiates election. You cannot identify those you call elect, you say they cannot be known, yet you claim you are among them. That smacks of a "a secret society", and if I'm not wrong, Christians are told to "let their light shine" like a light on a hill. The "elect" are hidden until they come to faith in God and reveal themselves. And that is no different than "whosoever believeth...." So what's the big deal about election? It is a church divisor, that needs to be stopped!

    Produce a list of those "elect" who do not yet know they are "elect"! If you can do that, I would be impressed!

    No I don't agree... you didn't understand a word I said. Paul and Jacob are what IS common for every human being. God chooses.... As he chose Paul, and Jacob and ME AND YOU.

    GB your out of your league if you are going to use the golden chain to show EVERYONE being predestined to be conformed to the image of Christ!! PLEASE !

    Roma 8:29 For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren;

    Roma 8:30 and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.

    It is a UNBREAKABLE CHAIN GB !!

    THOSE He forknew He predestined... BUT keep going! Those He predestined HE CALLED... THOSE He called HE ALSO JUSTIFIED!! AND GLORIFIED !!

    In the Greek, this is unbreakable... meaning the same object for ALL of the verbs !!

    So if you want to say ALL are predestined... then ALL are Glorified... have fun defending universalism my friend...

    NOPE... All who He foreknew He GLORIFIED !!!

    Easy.

    I see someone else makes the mistake of pegging TCassidy as a Calvinist.

    I already made that mistake.
