A Freewill Baptist church presented me with a Thomas Nelson KJV Open Bible for teaching a year of Sunday School and fellowship. I long ago wore it out and had to buy a second copy!

The Open Bible | KJV Reference Bible | The Open Bible NKJV

The 1611 KJV introduction... This work was dear to the translators!

“Happie is the man that delighteth in the Scripture, and thrise happie that meditateth in it day and night.” - 1611 KING JAMES BIBLE INTRODUCTION

The Pentecost Holiness church I am a member of used to be very old time Methodist in their ways....

1. Evangelist would hold revival
2. Wonderful singing
3. Sermon with conviction
4. Altar service in which all were invited up for prayer

There was a young lady who got drunk in the Spirit one night during the altar service. All she did was laugh. All you could get out of her the whole night was a sweet little laugh. When she came back the next evening we were all ready for the testimony. She said she was all night reading the Bible, which to me confirmed the experience. The Holy Spirit gives love for the Word of God.

Abraham laughed the laugh of faith
Sarah laughed the laugh of unbelief

There is a holy, good hearted laughter
There is also an evil laughter in scorn

As far as Pentecostal Holiness revival I haven't been to a good one in over 20 years. Like so many other denominations they will tell you that revival is a state of mind, and then go about their Laodicean type ways.

Just as long as no barking and rolling around, and vomiting out demons!

Sanctification makes for a good heart.

My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you... - Galatians 4:19

In the old ways if they could not sense the Christ in the experience they, as they were often in revival, would tell you to come back tomorrow night, and smile a little as they said it.

But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.. And they glorified God in me.- Galatians 4:23-24

But... once you come through they would glorify God in you.
