Question to those that support a "fairness doctrine". Should the "fairness" extend to religious stations? Should Christian radio stations be forced to have an opposing view point? After the Gospel message is given, should they have to have someone give an account of atheism, islam, hinduism, buddism, and sikhism?

See my response to KenH and JC above.

We're already reaping what Bush, who just was voted the 36th best President in history, has sown. You right wing evangelicals supported everything he did.

I see Old Irregular is at it again. Maybe a dose of castor oil will help.

Let's see - how can I put this nicely?????

You are obviously grossly mis-informed, or extremely negligent in reading comprehension, or just maybe plain lying!

I'll leave it to others to pin-point the precise reason you make such a stupid statement - unless you choose to share the truth with us!

Could be, but you liberals sure don't need any; fact you might need some of that stuff that has the opposite effect!

At least we did not support a radical leftist who believes it is okay to murder babies born and unborn.

I would put Bush behind Washington, Lincoln, Reagan, and possibly Truman. He kept the country safe from terrorists for seven years, something Clinton could or would not do.

I don't know whether or not they make anything for diarrhea of the mouth but Pepto-Bismol works for the other.

Way behind. He kept America safe, by spying on Americans. We haven't had a good president since Andrew Jackson.

Libbies cannot compete in the free market with their ideas so they must use force to get their ideas out.

I saw it the other way around, its the right always whining about the media being biased and unfair but I guess this would negate their chief talking point...

They couldn't be the party of victims if their side was forced into equal time at the mic but you can only say "do nothing" so many ways I guess... Then they have to turn to lies and attach the opponent with ideas and views.

We are talking about two different mediums here. I was referring to the Communist (fairness) doctrine which is going to be brought up again. Apparently you do not know but it applies to radio. Somehow or another you got off track and began talking about T.V.

No we're not, the FCC controls both...

JustChristian; Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Choose life and follow His way of peace not war.

Did you heed this yourself jc or did you vote for pro-death Obama?

The airwaves - AM and FM radio and television channels 2-13 ad the UHF channels(if they still exist) on television belong to the public - which is what this debate concerns. I have no problem with the Fairness doctrine applying to those airwaves owned by the public.

OK...so...since the government owns the road, no free speech allowed near it. And since the government owns the courthouse, library, and municipal buildings, you can't have free speech there.

Pretty rough when your argument falls apart on you, ain't it?

Well, it wouldn't be a BB thread if JC didn't show up to pummel his whipping boy again. Try and follow our current topic, please?

You are correct but the fairness doctrine was never applied to TV including public financed TV.
Sorry, but it was implemented in 1949, and applied to both TV and radio. So did the Equal Time Rule.

Who was President on September 11, 2001?
