Dems reach new low.

It looks like the Dems have sunk to a new low. It seems Sen. Diane Feinstein has had in her possession a letter that supposedly outlines some sexual malfeasance on the part of Supreme Court nominee Judge Kavanaugh. When did this "crime" happen you ask? Way back when the good Judge was but a lad in high school no less! If this doesn't work, I hear they also have an incident that the Judge allegedly committed in grade school that is waiting in the wings.

They are so low that nothing is a "new low".

To paraphrase Michelle Obama's "when they go low" line...Dems go low, and then they go lower.

It may or may not be relevant. Especially if it reveals dishonesty or perjury on the part of the judge in some previous line of questioning. Since the contents of the letter is not public, there are no conclusions to be drawn yet.

I was 18 (legal adult) in my last year of high school. Moreover, older teens can be charged as adults in certain cases.

Is this real or are you just making things up because you don't like Democrats?

Feinstein has had the letter for months and waited until now to spring it.

How devastating is the contents of the letter if a US senator holds onto it for months before alerting the FBI?

Is this whole accusation real or is Feinstein making things up because she hates Trump-Kavanaugh?
My question is, did the anonymous accuser have some unpleasant memories of a party 35+ years ago, or is she an ardent "Quash Kavanaugh" type who made up the story out of whole cloth? And will we ever find out? (And would Feinstein even care?)

On the other hand if there was indeed the commission of a peccadillo by Brett (naughty boy?) 35 years ago at the school prom what exactly did he do (or refuse to do) ?

I don’t know Feinstein’s motives and you don’t either.

However, Adonia suggested that they had something from grade school to use against the judge. I hadn’t heard anything like that so I was simply asking.

Statute of limitations.
Certainly, in regard to the original alleged issue, the statute of limitations has passed. However, there is a question of whether or not he lied to the FBI in background checks about whatever is alleged.

Moreover, this is a question of his character (remember when conservative Christians used to talk about the necessity of good character in public officials?), and whether or not whatever is alleged has any bearing on the person he is today.

Well I know when I smell something rotten in Denmark - oops sorry Denmark. Hmm, Clarence Thomas comes to mind.

Seems like other progressive accusations with documents and tapes which supposedly exist but said tapes never seem to come to the light of day.

She besmirches a man's reputation with a secret letter from an "anonymous" source.

Sorry - I won't even consider believing it until the anonymous source comes forth.

I don't care about character of politicians, I simply care how they vote.

How can something one did 35 years ago be relevant in any way, shape, matter, or form no matter the line of questioning, are candidates for public office now being queried on what happened as a minor? The man was a teenager for heavens sake!

I was 18 (legal adult) in my last year of high school. Moreover, older teens can be charged as adults in certain cases.

Unless the supposed "crime" was murder, torture, or rape, I believe the statute of limitations has run it's course concerning this allegation.

I have a friend who has a friend who is active in Democrat power circles and an allegation has been made. Everyone wants to remain anonymous so you will just have to give me the benefit of the doubt. I mean, that is only want Democrats want people to do, so the same standard should be applied to my reporting on this matter, no?

As a partisan who does not want this Judge to be confirmed to the highest court in the land, we can correctly assume what her motives are. This is reprehensible on her part and it's only an attempt to impinge upon the judge's character. Ms. Feinstein should have burned this letter if the woman was not willing to step forward and make the allegation public.

Funny how it suddenly get's leaked just before the vote. Once again, politicians prove themselves to be the lowest of the low and Feinstein in particular has no honor whatsoever and she should be completely ashamed of herself.
