Then those who want him removed from office by impeachment need to elect different people to represent them in Congress.
Only the rich can afford to run. So, only the rich will win and once they win, the rhetorical campaign promises are out the window. IOW, Jesus said it best....it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle....

Most times rich = corrupt/wicked.

Tthe Bible teaches us that all times being a person = corrupt/wicked.

Romans 3:9-18 (ESV)
What then? Are we Jews any better off? No, not at all. For we have already charged that all, both Jews and Greeks, are under sin, [10] as it is written:

"None is righteous, no, not one;
[11] no one understands;
no one seeks for God.
[12] All have turned aside; together they have become worthless;
no one does good,
not even one."
[13] "Their throat is an open grave;
they use their tongues to deceive."
"The venom of asps is under their lips."
[14] "Their mouth is full of curses and bitterness."
[15] "Their feet are swift to shed blood;
[16] in their paths are ruin and misery,
[17] and the way of peace they have not known."
[18] "There is no fear of God before their eyes."

Ken, the Redeemed of the Lord are no longer wicked. If you are going to defend rich people, then we must assume you are rich.

That wonderful scripture is one of many that relates the total depravity of mankind and the inability of mankind to do anything truly righteous of our own natural accord. This is why there's really no such thing as a "good" person in their own right. All the righteousness in us is of God by the Holy Spirit who gives us a new "heart" albiet still at war with our natural "flesh".

No, LadyEagle, we are still wicked. But we are clothed with Christ's righteousness. Therefore, our wickedness is covered up so that our Father no longer sees it.

And, yes, I am rich.

1. I have dogs.

"No matter how little money and how few possessions, you own, having a dog makes you rich." -Louis Sabin

2. But most importantly, Christ is holding me quite safely in His hand. And that, my sister in the Lord, is invaluable.

The morals of this nation are too far gone to turn back. I once thought a third party candidate might have a chance, but now realize that a third party candidate can never win the Presidency because the two major political parties are too rich and too corrupt. When I saw how Evangelical Christians voted out of fear during the last presidential election, is when I gave up hope for political change.

Only when Jesus returns will things be made right at last.

And, Ken, appreciate you posting those verses. But I became a new creature in Christ. And I am rich, too, but not with money and not with the power that money can buy. My riches are far better. And I can sleep at night without fear because I know Jesus is Lord of All.

That's certainly true but in the meantime don't you think we still need to continue to try to make a difference in the world in which we live?

Things have never been right since the fall of mankind. At no time in our history have things been right by the model of God's original creation. There have been good rulers and bad rulers. There have been truly wicked nations and less wicked nations. Our Christian ancestors have always struggled to make the best of what they could. We shouldn't give up on doing the same just because things aren't what they should be. We shouldn't be too surprised at the evil in this world.
