There are certain restraints God put's on man in every age or we would have total cayous, the laws of the land, tender conscience, Ten commandments. I believe in these last day's restraints will be lifted somewhat and man's corrupt sinful nature will be magnified for all to see.

Demons cannot make anyone do anything, however they can empower someone to sin more greatly.

Sometimes I wonder where you get these ideas.

The possessed man of Gadarene, the demons didn't force him to walk around naked, screaming, and cutting himself? The swine that got demon possessed were not forced to plunge off a cliff to their death? They wanted to do that all along?

"Recently, according to credible reports, he was under psychiatric care for paranoia and hearing voices.

I thought devils were involved in this and I was right. Where do I get my information? Spiritual Warfare books.

So you assume that "psychiatric care for paranoia and hearing voices" means "devils" were involved? Do they also handle snakes at your church?

According to the book "The Serpent of Paradise" devils can implant thoughts into people to entice them to carry out a act. However the devil cannot force the person to carry out the act. Lutzer told a story of a woman whom had thoughts about murdering a child and Lutzer affirmed her that the thoughts were not her own but from a devil. So it is very possible that devils can implant and tell people to do evil acts.

However what he argues is the exact opposite of what Mac would say. So I guess no one knows for certain, but I am open to the possibility that devils can tell people to sin.

You assume that paranoia and hearing voices excludes a demonic source? Does your church also deny the reality of demons?

While I wouldn’t jump to yelling “demon” in a crowded theater, your second comment is a little extreme (unless of course Evan is a snake handler, then I apologize).

Very good words of wisdom. However I expect him to come back in the next 50 years.

Good. I expect Him to come back today sans earthquakes, storms, death, or destruction. I have had this expectation for almost forty years. The church has had it since day one. It doesn't depend on news stories to support it.

Jesus suggested we will be able to see things unfolding in Matthew 16. His return doesn't 'depend' on news stories, they just further support what we are looking for.

And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

There is a reason that the above will take place. I understand some believe it already has, however it hasn't.

There is also a reason this statement is made.

For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak.

Who do you believe this present world is subject to?

My Grandpa said the same over 50 years ago- he's dead now. In the 70's I thought we would never see the year 2k. There was mass hysteria over the Middle East Oil crisis- that was the harbinger of the End. Then it was Saddam, etc...

The Lord will come when He is good and ready and not before.
