Dick's put a good local company out of business in Indianapolis. Big chains do that. Current law protects gun manufacturers but people are nuts. If I get run over by a truck, I can't sue the manufacturer because the truck ran over me.
No one wants to ban trucks. But, the left wants to ban regular citizens from owning guns. Suing gun manufacturers and sellers is a round about way to make that happen, but unscrupulous judges and juries. If a gun is used in a murder, and Dick's turns out to have sold that gun, it's only a matter of time before courts starting issuing huge judgments with any excuse. Without federal legislative liability protection, it will happen.
You advertised your guns to children (an ad flyer with guns also had items aimed at minors). You failed to do a background check. You failed to inform the consumer of how dangerous the gun is. Whatever. Now, you owe the criminal's victim fifty-million dollars, and we have a long line of shooting victims whom we'll be suing you over.
Over Thanksgiving weekend teenagers had a big fist fight in the downtown Indianapolis mall Circle Centre food court.
Teen <cough> problems is probably the biggest cause of Malls closing. They steal and drive away honest customers.
