Like I asked in my earlier post "I suppose that means God's Holy Word or the truth won't change your mind?"
It is a sad day in america when Gods people won't stand up for what is right, because of how something makes them feel. go ahead worship your reincarnated yule log. I'm sure God doesn't mind a little competition once a year. You know, a bit of romans 1 worshipping the creature more than the creator.
My Family used to celebrate "Christ's birth" on the 25th. But did we realy? NO, we celebrated a pagan holiday for us (I want presents, I want a Christmas tree,I,I,I...very selfish unholy day)not Christ.
How about a little scripture
Ec 7:1 -
A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one's birth. K.J.B.(emphasis mine)
Sorry I had to bring the BIBLE into this.
Merry Festive Pagan Holiday
Tear up your calendars, then, fellas, cause even the months of the years were named by those pagans, the Romans, and some months named in honor of their pagan gods.My birthday is Feb. 3.
This is all good(with the exception of Christmas cards and unscriptural songs), but why base it all on a lie? Doesn't the truth have any weight anymore?

If your family celebrated December 25th and didn't reflect on the real meaning of Christmas, only wanting gifts for themselves, then I would respond that as a parent, it was YOUR reponsibility to teach your children what the true reason is we celebrate Christmas - the Birth of Jesus Christ. If it became a selfish unholy day, that is your fault, not that of your Christian brothers and sisters who celebrate His Birth, IMO.My Family used to celebrate "Christ's birth" on the 25th. I am the Son in this matter. My parents tried to make the excuse we were doing it for the Lord, like most Americans. But christmas is not of the Lord, so to justify it that way is kinda' hard.quote:

God's Holy Word does not forbid me to celebrate Christmas as I do. In fact, God's Holy Word preserves the privilege of me esteeming one day over another if I so choose, and permits me to be so convinced in my mind if I so choose. Too bad folks like you feel the need to interfere with that which God's Holy Word guarantees me.Originally posted by paulsfocus:

No it's not. So kindly get off mine.If you want to celebrate a pagan holiday it's no skin off my back.
I'll call it what I like. It's a Christian holiday in my home, in my family, and in my church, whether you like it or not, and scripture permits it, whether you like it or not.But don't call it a Christian holiday, when that holiday's origin is satanic.
