Ever notice how Biblical literalists cease to be so when a scripture passage contradicts their beliefs?
There is a clear and definite conflict in the Bible between priestly religion and prophetic religion. That conflict also exists in religions other than Christianity.
What the OT prophets have God saying about blood sacrifice couldn't be clearer, and Jesus Himself repeats and affirms it. No amount of twisting of scripture, or denying what it plainly and literally says, can change that.
The question that remains is, where did sacrifice come from? Since God clearly did not command it, it had to have come from ancient pagan influences.
